Death by Chocolate Brownies

Talk about rich, but this was Dad’s favorite way to eat brownies!

Talk about rich, but this was Dad’s favorite way to eat brownies!

½ cup unsalted butter ½ cup semi-sweet chocolate chips ¾ cup granulated sugar ¼ cup, packed light brown sugar 1 tsp. pure vanilla paste 2 large eggs ⅓ cup cocoa powder ½ cup all-purpose flour ½ tsp. salt 1 cup milk chocolate chips 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chunks 3-5 full size Hershey bars Preheat an oven to 350°F and place an oven rack in the middle. Line 8×8” square pan with parchment paper. Melt butter and chocolate in medium saucepan over low heat and stir constantly with rubber spatula until all melted and combined. Whisk in granulated and brown sugar while still hot. Beat in eggs, one at a time, followed by salt and vanilla. Add cocoa powder and flour to chocolate mixture and whisk it well to combine, it should be a glossy chocolate batter. Stir in milk chocolate chips and semi-sweet chunks. Pour batter into prepared baking dish and spread batter equally in pan. Bake for 28-32 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out kinda clean with moist crumbs sticking to it. No wet batter should be left, but I like it gooey so I don’t want the knife to be clean. Take care not to overcook the brownies. Once removed from oven, while still hot, place full Hershey bars on top to completely cover top as much as possible or as much as desired. Break up bars to fill holes if needed. Once melted from the heat, spread lightly to fill any spaces. Let cool and enjoy!
