Lena joins Sheriff’s K-9 program

By Amie Cato-Remer Editor

Sequoyah County Sheriff Larry Lane Jr. said his department recently welcomed a new K-9, thanks to a donation from Tyler Knoke at Knoke European Dobermans.

Sequoyah County Sheriff Larry Lane Jr. said his department recently welcomed a new K-9, thanks to a donation from Tyler Knoke at Knoke European Dobermans.

“We want to thank Tyler for the generous donation of a Doberman puppy to our K-9 program,” Lane said. “This pup is very smart and loves to work. We’re excited to see what a great dog she will be.”

The dog has been named Lena and will be handled by Sheriff’s K-9 deputies, Austin Blackfox and Colton Goff.

“Colton is our K-9 trainer and he and Austin are both handlers,” Lane said. “Austin will have the pup when she’s ready next year.”

“We are so privileged to provide the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office with a puppy,” Knoke said. “This dog will be trained for interdiction/ apprehension services and help keep our county safe and drug free. We are so excited for Lena.”
