Pancake Breakfast is June 3 for domestic violence victims

An all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast fundraiser will be held on June 3 for the Sequoyah County Domestic Violence/Sexual Assault Team.

The breakfast will be held from 7 to 10 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge in Sallisaw, which is hosting the fundraiser, according to Cindy Smith, investigator for the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office.

The menu, in addition to pancakes, will include biscuits and gravy, sausage, coffee and orange juice. The cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children under the age of 12.

“You can’t beat that price,” Smith said. “Our team relies solely on donations and fundraisers in order to help victims of domestic violence and sexual assault with many emergency needs when they are fleeing abuse, hold outreach events and to provide education and training.

“So, please write it on your calendar. Come, bring your family and friends and support a great cause. Share this with your family and friends to get the word out.”
