A day of remembrance

Carnie Welch American Legion Post 27 reported a good turnout on Monday for the 2023 Memorial Day ceremony at Sallisaw City Cemetery. Members of the Post said they’d like to thank those who came out and honored those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for freedom. The annual event is a way of remembering the memories of those who didn't come home from conflicts and wars alive, because they gave their lives for freedom and their tomorrows for our todays.
