OSU baseball duo collects All-America honors

TUCSON, Ariz. — Oklahoma State’s Roc Riggio and Nolan Schubart are 2023 Collegiate Baseball All-Americans, with both Cowboys being named to the publication’s All-America third team.

TUCSON, Ariz. — Oklahoma State’s Roc Riggio and Nolan Schubart are 2023 Collegiate Baseball All-Americans, with both Cowboys being named to the publication’s All-America third team.

With the selection of Riggio and Schubart, OSU now counts 134 All-America honors in its program’s history.

A sophomore second baseman, Riggio is OSU’s leading hitter with a .344 batting average, and he ranks in the top five in the Big 12 Conference in seven offensive categories.

In 57 games, Riggio has smashed 17 home runs to go along with 17 doubles, three triples and 60 runs batted in. He owns a .688 slugging percentage and .472 on-base percentage.

Riggio is an All-Big 12 First Team performer, and he is a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy given to the National College Baseball Player of the Year.

Schubart has been a force in the middle of OSU’s line-up in his first collegiate season.

A freshman outfielder, Schubart is hitting .343 with 16 homers and 73 RBIs. He is second in the Big 12 in RBIs, ranks third with 20 doubles and is fourth in home runs and slugging percentage at .671.

Schubart has played in all 59 games for the Cowboys this season. He was named the Big 12 Co-Freshman of the Year and an All-Big 12 First Team honoree.
