A semi traveling down the westbound exit ramp of Interstate 40 at U.S. 59 overturned its trailer on Thursday morning, losing its load and blocking the ramp for several hours. The trailer also struck a light pole on the exit ramp before coming to rest in the grass. A cleanup crew was then tasked with removing the load from the trailer so it could be hauled from the location. A complete accident report was not available because police were still on the scene.
