06/12/23 TO 06/19/23 During the weeks of June 12 to 19, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to nine animal calls, 118 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports.

During the weeks of June 12 to 19, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to nine animal calls, 118 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports.

Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

6/12/23

10:29 a.m.- Speak with Deputy- RP is requesting to speak with a deputy regarding the laws on someone selling ammunition at a garage sale. -Austin Blackfox responded.

6/13/23

10:14 a.m.- Stolen Vehicle- Wildhorse Towing called and advised at 2:30 a.m. someone ran through their gate and stole a car. -Brian Stone responded.

11:40 a.m.- Deputy Assistance- In the vicinity of south of Hopper’s Corner. 804 and 807 are going with the electric company while they shut the electric off because the man living there has threatened to cut their legs off if they cut his electric off. -Brian Stone and Shane Petree responded.

3:45 p.m.- Speak with dDeputy- In the vicinity of S. 4720 Rd. RP advised that a child started calling his phone saying he could beat him up, and when the RP told the child that he had grandkids that could beat him up, the kid said, “Well, I could just kill you.” -Austin Blackfox responded.

9:04 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of E. 982 Rd. Man naked in her driveway on a fourwheeler. -Cody Parkerson, Mark Choate and Steven Edwards responded.

6/14/23

3:17 p.m.- Stolen Property- Roland PD advised there were two individuals needing to make a report of stolen property out of a vehicle that was repossessed and taken to Wholesale Motors. -Galen Irvin responded.

7:03 p.m.- Property Dispute- In the vicinity of 4701 Rd. RP advised she is the sole heir to property that belonged to her mother. She pays the property taxes. RP stated her neighbor to the east is claiming that the private drive to the property belongs to her and not the RP, and that she is not permitted to use the drive. She has also blocked the drive. -Randy Taylor responded.

6/15/23

10:40 a.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity of S. 4460 Rd. RP advised someone has been shooting on his property lately, and today he noticed his camera is missing. -Justin Deuley responded.

6/16/23

9:01 a.m.- Argument- In the vicinity of W. Treat Rd. RP advised she was helping some people get moved into their house and they are on drugs. Now they want her gone, so they are chasing her down the road with an ax and hammer. -Brian Stone and Austin Blackfox made an arrest.

4:42 p.m.- Trespassing- In the vicinity of E. 1040 Rd. RP advised there is a male and female on his property in the creek swimming. He has asked them to leave, and they are refusing. -Shane Petree responded.

6/17/23

7:12 a.m.- Fire- In the vicinity of S. 4515 Rd. RP advised during the night a family member’s car burnt, causing damage to her grandmother’s car. They would like to make a report. -Shane Petree responded.

12:39 p.m.- Fire- In the vicinity of 1090 Rd. Sallisaw Public Schools advised there is a vehicle that was being driven by a 12-yearold male. The vehicle was wrecked and caught on fire. The juvenile exited the vehicle and took off running. They are unable to locate the juvenile at this time. -Brian Stone and Austin Blackfox responded.

9:14 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of 1070 and 4510 Rd. Male walking eastbound on 1070 near Sally Jones Lake in a light-colored shirt and jean shorts, jumping out in front of traffic and trying to get them to stop. -Duwaine Chase responded.

9:45 p.m.- Threats- In the vicinity of N. Rodgers. RP advised while Door Dashing, a tall skinny muscular male with no shirt stopped in the roadway and pointed a gun at him, and sped off. -Mark Choate responded.

6/18/23

12:02 p.m.- In the vicinity of S. 4626 Rd. RP advised between Wednesday night and Saturday morning, he had a 2016 Polaris Razor stolen out of his barn while he was away camping. He is not sure who could’ve taken it. -Brian Stone responded.

9:16 p.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity of E. 1113 Rd. RP advised her boyfriend went to check the mail, and the property and items have been taken outside and burned. -Mark Choate responded.

6/19/23

1:54 a.m.- Other- At Love’s. Received a call that three juveniles ran in and grabbed alcohol, ran back out and jumped on bicycles. -Vian Police responded.

2:34 a.m.- 10-6 Busy- At El Siesta, will be out with the three juveniles from Love’s. -Vian Police.

8:14 a.m.- Stolen Vehicle- In the vicinity of S. 4490 Rd. RP is with Mckenzie Asphalt. They had their equipment south of Vian off 4490 Rd., and their skid steer is missing. -Justin Deuley responded.

11:41 a.m.- Breaking and Entering In the vicinity of E. 1100 Rd. RP advised they went to check for storm damage at a property they own that is up for auction, and when they got there, they found the back door window had been broken into. -Roger Johnson responded.

6:41 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of S. 4750 Rd. RP advised that a subject parked a Husqvarna zero turn mower in his yard and took off to the abandoned house that deputies were called out to earlier. RP advised all the serial numbers on the mower had been removed but he did get a serial number from the motor. -Cody Parkerson responded.

11:10 p.m.- Fire- In the vicinity of S. 4668 Rd. RP advised a red pickup that has been parked in the road by her house is on fire. Unknown who the vehicle belongs to. -Charles Webber responded.

11:55 p.m.- Fire- In the Liberty area. Received a call about a large fire east of Liberty near the Boyd Flats area. Also was referred to as the possible weed farm. -Jeff Neighbors responded.
