Bone-jarring to smooth sailing
Oklahoma Department of Transportation crews have laid new asphalt on U.S. 59 at I-40, smoothing out a notoriously bone-jarring stretch of rough concrete. Although Tuesday’s traffic flow was at a periodic standstill as flaggers funneled vehicles through the work zone, the well-traveled highway now has a smooth surface for northbound and southbound traffic.
