Loss to Talihina Patriots ends season for Vian Wolverines
The OK Kids baseball season came to a close for the Vian Wolverines age 10-and-younger baseball team Thursday night with a 3-0 loss to the Talihina Patriots in the loser’s-bracket quarterfinals of the 2023 OK Kids Sallisaw Regional Tournament at the Sallisaw Sports Complex.
The OK Kids baseball season came to a close for the Vian Wolverines age 10-and-younger baseball team Thursday night with a 3-0 loss to the Talihina Patriots in the loser’s-bracket quarterfinals of the 2023 OK Kids Sallisaw Regional Tournament at the Sallisaw Sports Complex.
The Wolverines were two-hit by the Talihina duo of Roper Johnson and Brayson Goodrich, as both hits were singles by Henry Sullivan.
Sullivan was the hard-luck loser as he went four innings with three strikeouts as the Patriots scored twice in the first inning and once in the fourth inning.
