06/20/23 to 06/25/23

During the week of June 19 to 26, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to eight animal calls, 105 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls, according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

6/20/23

4:03 a.m.- Noise Complaint- In the vicinity of E. 1040 Rd. RP called and reported her neighbor shining a flashlight into her bedroom window and also playing loud music. She advised he lives west of her but he is currently in his workshop where the noise is coming from. -Charles Webber responded.

1:30 p.m.- Welfare Check- On Hw.y 59. Male laying on the side of the road with his head on the white line. -Daniel Whitus made no contact.

6:32 p.m.- Welfare Check- In the vicinity of Hwy. 64. RP advised there is a male subject laying on the side of the road with blue jeans and no shirt, just west of State Line Dispensary. -Jeff Neighbors responded.

6/21/23

8:05 a.m.- Vandalism- At Dollar General. RP advised that when they got to work today, someone had egged their store. -Roger Johnson responded.

12:03 p.m.- Vandalism- RP advised that his car broke down a few days ago and someone possibly set it on fire. -Brian Stone responded.

6/22/23

8:42 a.m.- Speak with dDeputy- In the vicinity of E. 1020 Rd. RP advised her neighbor has multiple dogs. She just wants to know the limit of dogs people are allowed to have. -Brian Stone responded.

2:58 p.m.- Welfare Check- In the vicinity of Hwy. 64 West of Vian. They received a call of a man laying in the ditch. -Shane Petree responded.

4:01 p.m.- Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of S. 4700 Rd. RP advised the neighbors have pushed dead logs and brush onto her property and she wants them moved. -Austin Blackfox responded.

9:10 p.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity of the Dollar General on S. Hwy. 59. Female in store wearing black tank top and shorts carrying a big brown bag. RP advised she was caught on camera putting items in her bag. She is still in the store at this time. -Mark Choate took this report.

6/24/23

10:36 a.m.- Disturbance- Male subject in Sallisaw near the casino pulled a gun on another individual. He has left in a green GMC Canyon headed east on Ruth. -Daniel Whitus and Blakely Smith responded.

9:16 p.m.- Extra Patrol- In the vicinity of E. 1120 Rd. RP would like to speak with a deputy about the laws regarding fireworks and would also like extra patrol in the area. -Charles Webber responded.

6/25/23

10:45 a.m.- Speak with Deputy- RP would like to speak with someone about neighbors shooting bottle rockets into the pasture where his horse are. They are not actively doing it but he found the bottle rocket debris and trash in the pasture. -Galen Irvin and Justin Deuley responded.

11:15 a.m.- Welfare check- In the vicinity of Hwy. 64 towards Roland, red shirt and shorts. People stopped to check on her and asked if she needed a ride, and she advised she needed them to call the Sheriff’s Department. -Galen Irvin responded.

12:47 p.m.- Suspicious Person- RP advised a male wearing no shirt and blue shorts went up to her mother’s trailer door with a butcher knife. He walked away after a little bit and threw the knife into the neighbor’s yard and continued eastbound on Fullbright. –Galen Irvin, Justin Deuley and Sallisaw PD responded.

11:15 p.m.- Welfare Check- In the vicinity of Wildhorse Mtn. RP advised she had a call from a friend that just left the RP’s house and said there is a person, believes it is a female, laying on the side of the road. She was seen on the right side of the road right after turning onto Wildhorse Mtn Rd. -Charles Webber responded.
