During the weeks of June 26 to July 3, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to five animal calls, 89 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:
6/26/23
10:33 a.m.- Assault- RP wants to make a report. She was working at the Gentleman’s Club and was attacked by her manager and some other girls, she lives in Fayetteville but wants to make a phone report. -Brian Stone responded.
8:05 p.m.- Fraud- In the vicinity of S. 4710 Rd. RP advised his daughter got his account information and used his banking account through cashapp. -Justin Deuley responded.
8:18 p.m.- Protective Order- In the vicinity of S. 4717 Rd. RP advised her ex is sending her emails with pictures of them when they were together and also replying to texts, but does not answer questions about the child. She wanted to know if the PO was valid and if the child was listed because she hasn’t seen the child in about a month. -Justin Deuley responded.
10:27 p.m.- Extra Patrol- In the vicinity of McQuick’s. RP called and requested extra patrol of the fireworks stand at McQuick’s. -Duwaine Chase responded.
6/27/23
8:01 a.m.- Suspicious Person- RP advised a male not wearing a shirt has been hanging around Sequoyah’s Cabin for the last couple of days. He told them he was from Canada on a walk about. -Shane Petree responded.
3:52 p.m.- Speak with Deputy In the vicinity of Hwy. 64. RP advised she had someone build a fence for her and they put a lock on the fence. The guy that built the fence is now in Tulsa and she can’t unlock the fence. -Mark Choate advised it was civil.
9:25 p.m.- Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of S. 4757 Rd. RP wants to speak with a deputy because some family members have been driving their 4-wheelers on her property. She has asked them to stop but they continue to do it. -Mark Choate responded.
6/28/23
10:34 a.m.- Argument- In the vicinity of S. 4760 Rd. RP advised his neighbor shot a dog on his own property but then brought the dead dog to his driveway and dropped it in front of his kids. The dog was a stray the kids brought home one day. At the same time of this call, a subject called and advised he shot his neighbor’s dog because it killed his goat and last time, he had a deputy out because of the dog. He was told that if he shot it, to just take it back to the owner. So he took it back to the owner’s and left it in the driveway. -Galen Irvin responded.
6:07 p.m.- Welfare Check- In the vicinity of Hwy. 82. RP would like a welfare check on a male subject walking northbound on Hwy. 82, about three miles north of Vian. He is wearing a blue T-shirt and jean shorts. -Charles Webber responded.
6:55 p.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of S. 4620 Rd. RP advised that a male party won’t let the female leave the residence. Female will meet deputy at Sparks store. -Jeff Neighbors made an arrest.
10:24 p.m.- Other- In the vicinity of 1100 Rd. RP advised that he was hunting with his dogs and came across a backpack in the woods that appears to have bones in it. -Jeff Neighbors responded.
6/29/23
11:47 a.m.- Trespassing- In the vicinity of Dollar General on the Mountain. RP advised the gentleman she wanted trespassed is in the store now. He is checking out. Wearing gray shirt with “papa” on it and black shorts. -Roger Johnson responded.
4:27 p.m.- Medical- In the vicinity of 317 West. RP called and said there was an older male slumped over on a green box car. -Galen Irvin responded.
8:34 p.m.- Disturbance- In the vicinity of Hwy. 141. RP advised they hear lots of rapid gunfire from the back of their property and they are afraid. -Jeff Neighbors responded.
6/30/23
11:43 a.m.- Speak with Deputy RP advised her grandpa’s card was stolen from Fort Smith. She was told she needed to file a report with every county it was used in. -Brian Stone responded.
9:08 p.m.- Stolen Property- Dollar General on S. 59, Female in the store stealing, wearing a floral shirt and khaki pants with a backpack. -Duwaine Chase responded.

8:26 a.m.- Property Dispute- RP advised her belongings are in the storage shed on her daughter’s property and she would like a deputy to go get them for her. -Shane Petree responded.
10:16 a.m.- Speak with Deputy In the vicinity of Hwy. 101. RP advised she is being oppressed by her whole neighborhood and she wants a deputy to come to help her. -Austin Blackfox responded.
1:06 p.m.- Harassment- In the vicinity of Hwy. 101. RP advised she is being harassed and spied on by her neighbor. -Austin Blackfox responded.
3:57 p.m.- Harassment- In the vicinity of Hwy 101. RP called and wanted to speak with a deputy about continued harassment by her neighbor. -Austin Blackfox responded.
5:27 p.m.- Information- In the vicinity of E. 1095 Rd. RP called and would not provide his name or phone number but advised he could hear gunshots around his house. He said he could not hear anyone yelling and he could not tell what direction they were coming from. -Austin Blackfox responded.
6:43 p.m.- Extra Patrol- Tenkiller. RP called and reported there were people drinking from glass bottles and dipping them in the water. -Jimmy Carson responded.
9:29 p.m.- Disturbance- At Tenkiller State Park. RP called and advised that subjects near cabin 25 and 27 were shooting fireworks and almost hit her kids. -Jimmy Carson responded.
9:37 p.m.- Other- In the vicinity of Hwy. 101. RP called and wanted to speak with a deputy about people shooting fireworks over property. -Duwaine Chase responded.
7/2/23
9:55 a.m.- Stolen Property- At Dollar General. RP advised there is a female wearing a black shirt with pink hair in the store shoplifting. She is driving a grey Ford Expedition. -Austin Blackfox responded.
12:41 p.m.- Other- In the vicinity of Hwy. 64. RP called and said they saw a subject walking on 64 Hwy. that looked like the subject that is reported missing from the Webbers Falls area. -Gore PD responded.
2:27 p.m.- Disturbance- In the vicinity of E. 985 Rd. RP advised that they are at Britton’s campground by Gene’s Scuba Shack. There is a female that is extremely intoxicated. Has broken glass bottles and threatening to harm herself. -Shane Petree, Gore PD, Brian Stone, and Tenkiller State Park made an arrest.
4:47 p.m.- Vandalism- In the vicinity of S. 4760 Rd. RP advised that his son’s tires have been cut and believes it is a subject in a red Mustang in the area. Said he was going to go block them in until deputy arrives. -Brian Stone and Austin Blackfox responded.
5:32 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of Sequoyah Little Farms. RP advised that the place where tires have been getting dumped there is a two-tone brown truck with a trailer full of tires. Supposed to be an empty lot. -Duwaine Chase responded.
7:48 p.m.- Traffic- In the vicinity of S. 4606 Rd. RP advised that a female driving a gray Hyundai drives reckless, speeds and slings gravel several times a day. He asked her to slow down and watch for people and animals, she peeled off slinging gravel. -Duwaine Chase responded.
10:01 p.m.- Vandalism- In the vicinity of S. 4704 Rd. RP wants to speak with a deputy about threats again, same as last night. Spoke with RP and now neighbor wants to make a report of damage supposedly done by rocks being thrown at a vehicle. -Steven Edwards responded.
7/3/23
12:50 a.m.- Busy- Out at 2-Rivers Apartments talking to a subject that wanted to file a report of a stolen motorcycle that was involved in a pursuit. Advised the subject that they were not going to file a report and could take it up with the Sheriff’s Office, who were involved in the pursuit. -Gore PD responded.
12:50 a.m.- Disturbance- In the vicinity of E. 953 Rd. RP is reporting someone setting off fireworks and they have a bonfire going. They would like to speak with a deputy. -Mark Choate responded.
1:08 a.m.- Welfare Check- In the vicinity of Gans Dollar General. RP called regarding his neighbors burning, he was concerned about that. He was advised there was no burn ban at this time. He then said that the subject living in the first trailer was not “all there” and he felt he needed to be checked. He provided no other reasons for the welfare check. -Duwaine Chase responded.
