Romano earns 2nd straight MLB All-Star nod

TULSA — Former Oral Roberts closer and current Toronto Blue Jays reliever Jordan Romano has been added to the 2023 American League All-Star Team for the All-Star Game, which took place Tuesday night at T-Mobile Park in Seattle.

The All-Star nod marks the second straight for Romano, who becomes the first player in ORU history to earn multiple All-Star selections.

At the break, the Markham, Ontario, native leads the AL in saves with 26. In 39 appearances, Romano holds a 4-4 record to go along with a 2.87 earned run average and 48 strikeouts.
