STILLWATER — Oklahoma State’s equestrian team announced its schedule for the 2022-23 season on Monday.

STILLWATER — Oklahoma State’s equestrian team announced its schedule for the 2022-23 season on Monday.

The Cowgirls, winners of three straight Big 12 Conference titles, kick off the season with an intrasquad scrimmage Sept. 22 ahead of the regular season.

OSU will open its regular season of competition by entertaining conference opponent Texas Christian University on Oct. 5 at the Pedigo-Hull Equestrian Center. It will be the first match-up between the two schools since last season’s Big 12 Championship meet.

Starting Oct. 13, the Cowgirls hit the road south to take on the second straight conference match-up against Baylor in Waco, Texas. The next day, the Cowgirls will face the defending NCEA champion Southern Methodist University in Dallas.

The Cowgirls return home for matchups against Texas A&M on Oct. 21, followed by Fresno State coming to town in the third and final Big 12 match of the fall schedule on Nov. 3. OSU concludes its fall schedule on the road with a joint meet on Nov. 17-18 against South Carolina and Georgia.

Opening the spring schedule, the Cowgirls start at home with a Big 12 match-up against Baylor on Feb. 9. The next week, the Cowgirls will once again face SMU for the final match at Pedigo-Hull for the season.

OSU rounds out its season with three straight on the road, starting with another conference match-up against TCU on Feb. 23. OSU will travel to California where it faces the final Big 12 competition of the regular season against Fresno State on March 2. The Cowgirls regular season finale will be against California-Davis the next day.

The Cowgirls and coach Larry Sanchez will look for the program’s 10th Big 12 crown as they travel to Waco for the Big 12 Championships on March 29-30. Following the conference tournament, the Cowgirls aim to reclaim their national title at the NCEA National Championship in Ocala, Fla., on April 11-13.
