07/10/23 to 07/17/23 During the week of July 10 to 17, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 16 animal calls, 94 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports.

During the week of July 10 to 17, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 16 animal calls, 94 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports.

Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

7/10/23

3:31 p.m.- Welfare Check- In the vicinity of S. 4770 Rd. RP advised her niece is living in her Nana’s house and they stopped paying the bills, so there’s no water or electric. The feces have built up in the toilet and now they’re using the bathtub. A child also has bug bites everywhere. They have called CPS and she won’t let them in. There are snakes in the house and copperheads have been known to be in that area lately. -Austin Blackfox and Steven Edwards responded.

7:16 p.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of E. 1117 Rd. RP advised the neighbors are fighting outside. There are about four adults who are physically fighting, and six children. She stated one male was holding a crowbar and one female is holding a baby. -Mark Choate, Randy Freeman, Steven Edwards, Duwaine Chase and Steven Edwards responded to this call.

11:01 p.m.- Welfare Check- In the vicinity of 4520. Female hiding in the dark yelled at RP and stated she needed help and a ride. He told her if she came out of the dark he could call someone and get her help, and she would not. -Mark Choate responded.

7/11/23

6:40 p.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of Baker. RP called from unknown number and no name given. Stated someone assaulted him then took off on foot towards the ballfields. -Muldrow PD responded.

6:50 p.m.- Domestic- In the vicinity of S. Baker. RP called and was mad that the person that assaulted him just now had not been arrested. His wife got on the phone, said she just got home and had no clue what was going on. She gave the address and stated that her husband said his brother assaulted him. -Muldrow PD responded.

8:17 p.m.- Disturbance- In the vicinity of S. 4610 Rd. RP advised a male subject was at his residence, and he is under the influence of some type of drug. He has stopped a vehicle driving by and made threats to them, believing they were following him. He is now outside the residence fighting with his dad. -Steven Edwards responded.

7/12/23

5:28 a.m.- Stolen Vehicle- In the vicinity of Hwy. 59. RP advised that a juvenile female came into her home this morning and woke her daughter. She stated that she and some friends had taken RP’s vehicle during the night and wrecked it into a tree. They returned the vehicle. The RP would like to make a report. -Daniel Whitus responded.

1:24 p.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity of S. 4770 Rd. RP advised his grandma has been screaming and storming around the house. She just got out of the hospital today. At 1:49 p.m. called back and advised that he no longer needed a deputy for his grandma. He gave her her medicine and she calmed down, but she was now requesting a deputy because her daughter stole money from her. -Galen Irvin responded.

6:50 p.m.- Disturbance- In the vicinity of S. 4770 Rd. RP advised his grandmother is being aggressive and has been all day. He stated she has been physical. Parties are separated at this time. -Cody Parkerson responded.

7/13/23

9:55 p.m.- Speak with Deputy- In the vicinity of East Lake Hills. RP would like to speak with a deputy regarding someone on their public road threatening to put up a fence where they cannot access their houses. -Justin Deuley responded.

4:26 p.m.- Other- RP called and said Fedex delivered her package to her neighbor’s and she is afraid to go and retrieve it. She has talked with Fedex without help. She requested to talk to a deputy. -Galen Irvin responded.

7/14/23

1:21 a.m.- Extra Patrol- In the vicinity of 4645 Rd. RP advised of a juvenile male driving up and down the road in a silver 1-ton Dodge. Juvenile is under 16. RP would like extra patrol in the area. -Cody Parkerson responded.

9:30 a.m.- Assault- In the vicinity of Hwy. 10A. RP advised there were two females and a male that came into the store and refused to pay for their things. They went outside and assaulted the female worker when she was trying to go back in the store. -Shane Petree responded.

10:19 a.m.- Stolen Property- In the vicinity E. Shawntel Smith Blvd. RP advised a male cut the lock on the water and was using the water. The water district shut off the water and the guy called about it. The water district advised him how much it would be to turn it back on and so the guy ended up replacing it with his own water meter, and the bill is now over $1,000. -Austin Blackfox responded.

12:33 p.m.- Breaking and Entering-In the vicinity of Hwy 64. RP advised between 8 a.m. and 12 p.m. someone had broken into her dispensary. Damaged property and took items off shelves. -Brian Stone responded.

8:37 p.m.- Assault- In the vicinity of S 4541 Rd. RP called and advised his neighbor had shot at him and his dog. He thinks his neighbor is upset because his dog was loose. He said the shot sounded like a 22. -Mark Choate responded.

7/15/23

3:37 a.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of 4710 Rd. RP advised of a dark-colored vehicle on the side of the road just south of the I-40 overpass. She also stated about 100 to 150 yards south of the vehicle, there was a female with light hair in shorts hiding in the bushes. -Steven Edwards responded.

7:23 a.m.- Property Dispute- In the vicinity of E. 1000 Rd. RP advised she is going to court over a property dispute and the other party is currently on her property, cutting the fence. -Brian Stone responded.

10:32 p.m.- Breaking and Entering- In the vicinity of N. Main. RP would like a deputy to meet him at the 1st Baptist Church. There is a light on in the storage room. RP is en route from Stilwell. -Duwaine Chase responded.

11:43 p.m.- Prowler- In the vicinity of E. 962 Rd. RP advised she sees flashlights in the residence across the street. They have moved out and are living in Tulsa, and no one should be in the residence. -Mark Choate responded.

11:51 p.m.- Suspicious Vehicle- In the vicinity of E. 1094 Rd. RP advised he’d loaned his truck to a female and she has not returned it. He has asked her to return it but she asks to keep it longer. He wants his vehicle back. At 12:05 RP called back and advised he’d be able to get his truck back and did not want a deputy. -Call cancelled by RP prior to deputy’s arrival.

7/16/23

12:07 a.m.- Prowler- In the vicinity of W. 5th St. RP advised someone was knocking on her window. -Steven Edwards, Cherokee Nation Marshal, Mark Choate, Gore PD and Tenkiller State Park made an arrest.

12:37 p.m.- Suspicious Person- In the vicinity of E. 1100 Rd. RP called and wanted to report a suspicious person walking east on E. 1100 Rd. He advised a white male wearing shorts and a bandana was walking, and appeared to be looking in yards. He passed the same subject a short time later and the male was carrying some items. The RP said he did not see the subject do anything wrong but felt he was suspicious. -Austin Blackfox responded.

7/17/23 1:44 a.m.- Child- In the vicinity of E. 956 Rd. RP stated he was having a get together and two of their guests made a comment about the RP and his wife fighting, and then left with the RP’s son. RP stated they had been drinking and he wants his son returned. RP advised the individuals have left his residence in a silver Jeep Grand Cherokee and now his wife has left after them to get the child. -Steven Edwards, Gore PD and Mark Choate responded.

7:04 a.m.- Welfare Check- In the vicinity of I-40. Male on the side of the road. -Daniel Whitus responded.
