IRVING, Texas –– The University of Tulsa had four teams earn the American Athletic Conference’s Team Academic Excellence Award for the 2022-23 academic year.
The four Tulsa teams recognized with the Academic Excellence Award are women’s indoor track and women’s outdoor track (3.761 grade-point average), men’s indoor track and men’s outdoor track (3.459 GPA). Tulsa had the second-most teams recognized with the academic excellence award.
The Team Academic Excellence Award is awarded to the institution in each conference-sponsored sport with the highest cumulative grade point average for the year. Tulsa was second to Cincinnati’s six teams honored this season, and Memphis, Central Florida and Wichita State were the only other schools to have more than one team recognized with the academic excellence award with two each.
