Gore men to appear for August docket for stolen checks, possession of mushrooms
Two Gore men are facing several charges in Sequoyah County District Court after they were found to be in possession of stolen checks and mushrooms during a traffic stop.

Logan Warren, 24, and Brad Warren, 50, were each charged on June 28 with knowingly receiving or concealing stolen property and possession of controlled dangerous substance. Logan Warren is additionally charged with removing proper or affixing improper license plate, driving without a valid driver’s license and failure to maintain insurance or security.
Logan Warren received a $10,000 bond and Brad Warren received a $5,000 bond. Both men are now scheduled for an Aug. 30 felony disposition docket before Associate District Judge Kyle Waters.
On the evening of June 19 Gore Police officer Sam Kilby reported receiving a call from dispatch regarding a gold Ford Windstar van driving recklessly on Highway 10 in Gore town limits. Minutes later, a vehicle matching the description drove in front of the officer’s patrol unit and he initiated a traffic stop.
Police told Logan Warren why he’d been stopped and he said he didn’t have his driver’s license on him because he’d left his wallet at home. As the officer was running his information through dispatch, it was noted the tag on the vehicle actually belonged to a 2001 Dodge SUV. Dispatch also advised Logan Warren did not have a valid drivers license, only an identification card. He also claimed the tag on the vehicle was on it when he received it, according to the probable cause affidavit, and the title was in the glovebox.
When Kilby opened the glovebox he reportedly found a container that looked like it came from a dispensary and a box that looked like it had drug paraphernalia inside. Kilby said he was unable to locate the title but did find an old registration paper with the VIN number on it. Logan Warren then told an officer there was a firearm in the vehicle and both men were detained. Officers reported finding a Phoenix Arms 25 caliber pistol in a holster under the back seat.
Brad Warren reportedly admitted that the containers were his and he was a medical marijuana card holder but officers were unable to verify the information, so a search was conducted. Police reported finding a purse with some blank checks inside, along with a check made out to Logan Warren for $2,000. The checks belonged to an individual from Muskogee who had reported them as stolen during a break-in of their residence. The Muskogee resident said her purse containing some of her boyfriend’s checks and $5,000 was reportedly taken from the residence.
The men were transported to the Sequoyah County Detention Center and the vehicle was impounded. Kilby reported while back at the police department logging evidence, he found baggies containing dried mushrooms. He said he notified the jail and told them to add a charge of possession of a controlled dangerous substance to both men’s charges.
