Junior bullfighter contest sign-up, starting times have changed

The Sequoyah Animal Advocates will present a junior bullfighting contest tonight and Saturday night during the 79th annual Sallisaw Lions Club Rodeo, but the sign-up times and starting times have been changed to combat the hot temperatures.

The Sequoyah Animal Advocates will present a junior bullfighting contest tonight and Saturday night during the 79th annual Sallisaw Lions Club Rodeo, but the sign-up times and starting times have been changed to combat the hot temperatures.

Sign-ups will begin at 6:30 p.m. tonight and Saturday in the mutton busting area, with the competition beginning at 7 p.m. tonight and Saturday. The competition will be open to boys and girls ages 4-12. There is no cost to enter, and trophies will be awarded to the winners who will be announced during the performances.
