Autumn H. Blackmer

Autumn H. Blackmer of Gans says she loves her customers.

Blackmer, 28, has been employed at Love’s in Vian since its opening in August, three years ago.

“I work here as the assistant restaurant manager,” Blackmer said. “My job is to make sure we provide and serve fresh food, guaranteed, seven days a week.”

Blackmer said Love’s offers Godfather’s Pizza, Chester’s Chicken and Big Boss Subs, made to order.

“My customers are wonderful,” she said. “Most of them are travelers that are stopping in for fuel and/or looking for something quick to eat. Some of them are lost and pulling off Interstate 40 looking for their route. You just never know, and I think that’s what I enjoy most about my job.

“Of course, I also have my regular, local customers who can’t get enough of the pizza, chicken, subs and other foods we offer,” she said.

Blackmer attended Vian Public Schools and graduated from Vian High School, so she knows lots of the locals who stop in at the local convenience store.

“I pretty much run the shift on the weekends and evenings, when upper management is not there,” she said. “So, I also enjoy taking care of my team, along with the customers. Our team here is fantastic and works together well. We all work to keep our customers happy, whether it be serving a fresh pizza to them or cleaning up afterwards. We all pitch in.”

Blackmer said when she’s not working, she enjoys spending time with her active family and her daughter, Jimi-Lynn Grace.

“We like to spend time together swimming at the lake and creek,” she said, “and of course fishing. I enjoy fishing when I get the chance.”
