The Oklahoma State University Cowgirls basketball team won two games in the team’s European Tour.

The Oklahoma State University Cowgirls basketball team won two games in the team’s European Tour.

On Tuesday, the Cowgirls routed the Greek Women All-Stars 115-66 inside the Eurohoops Dome in Athens, Greece, then handled the Bosnia A All-Stars on Wednesday inside Proteas Bolas Arena in Athens.

In Tuesday’s victory, in the second of three contests during the squad’s tour of Italy and Greece, the Cowgirls enjoyed another outstanding offensive performance, scoring at least 28 points in each quarter.

After facing an early 10-5 deficit, the Cowgirls reeled off a 10-0 run to grab the lead halfway through the first period. OSU would add another 15 consecutive points before ultimately taking a 30-15 advantage into the second frame.

Hannah Gusters took over for OSU in the second, finishing with 14 points in the quarter and sending the Cowgirls into the half with a 58-36 advantage.

In the third, the offensive display continued with the Cowgirls getting back-to-back treys to stretch the margin to 51-28. A quick 9-0 run would push the lead to 72-43 before OSU would ultimately take an 87-55 lead into the final stanza.

The Cowgirls opened the fourth on a 6-0 run before hitting the century mark shortly thereafter.

Gusters led OSU with 30 points, while Lior Garzon added 20 points. Anna Gret Asi poured in 17 points, Quincy Noble scored 14 points and Stailee Heard reached double figures with 12.

In Wednesday’s win, four Cowgirls scored in double figures with Lior Garzon leading the way. OSU’s sharpshooter drilled 12 of her 14 3-point attempts on her way to a gamehigh 38 points. In the first, OSU scored 11 of the game’s first 15 points, including a pair of treys from Garzon. She would go on to hit three of her four attempts beyond the arc to stake the Cowgirls to a 24-11 lead.

She would then hit both of her attempts in the second quarter to finish the half with 15 points. Noble added 10 first-half points as well.

The Cowgirls finished the quarter with 30 points to lead 54-24 at the break.

OSU used a 15-0 run, including consecutive Garzon 3-pointers, on its way to winning the third by a 36-9 count to build a 90-33 lead heading into the final 10 minutes.

Garzon would once again drill consecutive 3-pointers in the fourth and her lay-up with six minutes remaining sent OSU over the century mark.

Noble finished with 18 points, while Heard added 16 points of her own and Gusters chipped in with 13 points.
