BBQ Chex Mix
For BBQ seasoning ¼ cup brown sugar packed
For BBQ seasoning ¼ cup brown sugar packed
2 Tbsps. paprika ¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. chili powder
1 tsp. onion powder ½ tsp. ground pepper
8 Tbsps. unsalted butter, melted To make Chex mix
2 cups rice Chex cereal
2 cups corn Chex cereal
1 cups pretzel rods, broke in half
2 cups cheese crackers
1 cup potato strings Stir together brown sugar, paprika, salt, garlic powder, chili powder, onion powder and pepper. Stir in melted butter. Line slow cooker with Crock Pot liner. Place cereal, pretzels, crackers and potato strings in slow cooker. Pour butter mixture over top and stir to coat. Cover and cook on low, stirring every 20 minutes, until mixture is hot and coated, about 1½ – 2 hours. Be sure to stir well. If it sits on bottom cereal/crackers will burn. Turn hot mix out onto cookie sheet lined with paper towel and let cool completely. Store in airtight container for up to 5 days.
