Central Lady Tigers cross country coach Courtney Bair has a chance to have her full team make this fall’s Class 2A State Meet as she has a total of eight runners out for this season.
Two of them — Callie Huff and Camryn Gilliam — each were among Bair’s Class 2A Regional Meet participants.
Huff and Gilliam will be joined by Ryleigh Pierce, Paris Campbell, Raleigh Ford, Korley Herbert, Gabby McGlothlin and Alyvia Warner.
For Central Tigers coach Caleb Cawhorn, he will have three runners hitting the course in 2023 — Noah Buzzard, Braxin Goodson and Rowan Contente. While it means the Tigers, at least currently, won’t have shots at team titles, any or all three boys can qualify for state should they finish in the top seven who are not a member of the top seven teams finishing at the Class 2A Regional Meet in October.
