The Gans Grizzlies looked pretty good in their lone preseason scrimmage of the 2023 season against the Dewar Dragons and the Cave Springs Hornets on Friday night at Grizzly Field.
While the Grizzlies and Dragons had a stalemate, the Grizzlies likely would have had three scores recorded against the Hornets had it been a normal game.
For the most part, Gans coach Brian Morton was pleased with what he saw for his team’s only preseason tune-up.
“I know we’re further along than we were at this time last year, but we have a long ways to go,” Morton said. “We are not in as good a shape as I thought we would be.”
The Grizzlies will open their season at 7 p.m. Friday with a road game against Oaks.
