During the week of August 14 to 20, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 12 animal calls, 127 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:
08/14/2023
06:10 a.m. – Suspicious Person – Gans Git-N-Go. RP advised a male subject is in the store in brown pants and a tan shirt with a shaggy beard. RP reports that customers told her he was behind the store with a cart. RP called back and stated that the male had left walking towards Muldrow on US-64. Mark Choate responded.
11:04 a.m. – Altercation – Marvel Campground. RP needs to make a report in reference to an incident that took place between her daughter and her father at the campground. Daughter is safe but RP was advised by her attorney to file a report. Justin Deueley responded.
11:48 a.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of 4455 Rd. RP reports being harassed by phone calls and texts from ex, and would like to file a report and protection order. Shelton Fair responded and took a report.
11:52 a.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 1020 Rd. RP reports that his mother let his son live with her and she has since passed away. RP inherited the home. RP has contractors at home to make repairs to sell, but son will not leave. Daniel Whitus responded.
12:31 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 4640 Rd. RP advises a male is walking around and laying on the side of the road. Vian PD responded.
2:00 p.m. – Follow-Up – Unknown location. RP reports that she just called about her ex kicking in the back door. She is leaving town and would like to have extra patrol while she is away. Daniel Whitus responded.
2:38 p.m. -Trash Dumping – In the vicinity of 4769 Rd. RP reports that his neighbor called and said that a truck hauling trash went up to his property and he is afraid that they might be dumping trash on the property. Cherokee Nation Marshals responded.
4:10 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 4660 Rd. RP advises that his ex-girlfriend has a P.O. and he stated that his understanding is that they are not allowed to be at the same address together, but she is now staying at the residence. He would like advice. Daniel Whitus responded.
6:15 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown location. RP says his neighbor is driving too fast down the road and would like extra patrol. Cody Parkerson responded.
8:11 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 4th and Belt. RP advises she is having an argument with her neighbor’s kids. Allen Ramey responded.
9:59 p.m. – Suspicious Person Smoke Shop. RP advises a suspicious person. Vian PD responded.

1:10 a.m. – Information – In the vicinity of 1116 Rd. RP would like to report possible criminal activity at a location. She advised there are several subjects living at the location and she believes they are possibly committing criminal acts. She says they may be growing marijuana. Cody Parkerson responded.
8:05 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown location. RP requests information regarding constitutional rights regarding carrying a firearm. Daniel Whitus responded.
8:57 a.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of US-64. RP advises they had a break in a few nights ago and last night someone stole their marijuana plants. Galen Irwin responded.
12:27 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of 1026 Rd. RP advised her husband had his medication in the truck yesterday and then took the truck to the Dollar General. When he woke up today and went to the truck, the medication was gone. RP advises the truck was unlocked all night. Daniel Whitus responded.
12:30 p.m. – Argument – Wildhorse Towing. RP advised that he was in an accident a couple of months ago and the truck was towed to this location. He is at the tow yard but they are not letting him get the vehicle, and have told him it is going to be sold. Daniel Whitus responded.
12:39 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown location. RP advises she was going through her daughter’s phone and discovered explicit photos of her. She has questions on what actions she can take. Daniel Whitus and Justin Deuley responded.
1:14 p.m. – Property Dispute – In the vicinity of 991 Rd. RP advises he came home from work and his wife has packed up her belongings and his money, and left. He advised that he bought her a new vehicle, and she has taken it but it is in his name. Would like advice. Justin Deuley responded and advised it was a civil matter, not criminal.
2:08 p.m. – Fire – In the vicinity of 4706 Rd. RP advises his neighbor is potentially starting a fire using chemicals. Galen Irvin responded.
4:14 p.m. -Trespassing – In the vicinity of 4800 Rd. RP is with Union Pacific and advised there is a male on the tracks near I-40 and 4800 Rd. Galen Irvin responded.
4:23 p.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of 4528 Rd. RP advises his ex-wife has a PO against him and she is now sending her friend to take photos of his property. Would like to make a report. Justin Deuley responded.
5:08 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 1080 Rd. RP advises his ex-girlfriend is at his address and trying to get her belongings. She is cursing and making him uncomfortable. She also tried to take his car. Daniel Whitus responded.
5:10 p.m. – Assault – In the vicinity of 4760 Rd. RP advises someone attacked him and possibly pulled a knife. Subject will not leave. Galen Irvin responded.
5:49 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – In the vicinity of US-64B. RP advises he saw a truck coming down the hill.Truck almost hit him in the head. Justin Deuley responded.
6:23 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Garden Walk. RP advises her mother-in-law lives in the complex and an officer was at the house looking for her to serve a warrant. RP would like to speak to Vian PD. Vian PD responded.
6:28 p.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of 4455 Rd. RP advises she has filed a PO against someone yesterday but believes it might have already been served. Dispatch shows that there has not been any PO issued for either party. RP advises the subject is using someone else’s phone to contact her. Charles Webber responded.
9:24 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 968 Rd. RP advised a subject is posting negative things on Facebook and would like to speak to a deputy because the posts make him feel uncomfortable and possibly unsafe. Allen Ramey responded.

6:40 a.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 4769 Rd. RP advises that a person in white pants and a black hoodie with two backpacks, and other bags, is walking around the area. Austin Blackfox responded.
7:51 a.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of Highland Circle. RP advises someone stole their wallet and other paperwork. Austin Blackfox responded and took a report.
9:34 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Central Middle School. RP advises her daughters have advised her of some possible messages going around school about them. RP has since called the school and they can do nothing as messages were not sent at school. Kenny Graham responded.
11:37 a.m. – Burglary – In the vicinity of 1026 Rd. RP advises someone had taken his medication, fishing pole and tackle box from his unlocked vehicle. Shelton Fair responded and took a report.
4:19 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of US-101. RP advises she is the owner of the property and is currently evicting a tenant. After serving an eviction they became irate and have been cursing and yelling at her. She advises that her neighbors have trespassed her from her property and are currently on her property, and would like them removed. Austin Blackfox responded.
6:02 p.m. – Stolen Property – Unknown location. RP advises he had property stolen in the country and will be meeting with Roland Police. Jeff Neighbors responded.
6:54 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – US 101. RP advises she called earlier about evicting residents from her property. RP states that she was told by SCSO it is a civil matter but is now advising she is tired of neighbors mistreating her and would like them to be taken to jail. Dispatch advised her to not contact neighbors. Jeff Neighbors responded.
7:42 p.m. – Speak with Deputy In the vicinity of Hodge St. RP advised there is a male living with her that she no longer wants to deal with, and would like him removed. She was previously advised by Gans PD this is a civil matter and was given instruction for eviction. She now says she feels unsafe because he choked her once in the past but does not want a deputy to respond unless they can remove the subject from the property. Dispatch noted the incident.
9:14 p.m. – Vandalism – In the vicinity of 4513 Rd. RP advised her cousin’s girlfriend’s friend had thrown a rock at her windshield as she was driving. No damage, but would like to file a report. Mark Choate responded.
11:05 p.m. – Littlefield – In the vicinity of 1080 Rd. RP would like to speak to a deputy as a subject is beating on his front door trying to get something. Jeff Neighbors responded.
08/17/2023
12:40 a.m. – Vandalism – In the vicinity of 1005 Rd. RP stated he just returned from the hospital and discovered someone had torn down his gatepost and gate mechanism. He stated there is also damage to the gate and his mail has been taken. He is still in his vehicle at the gate. Mark Choate responded.
2:49 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown location. RP called and requested to speak with a deputy about possibly serving a PO to another subject. Mark Choate spoke with the RP.
2:48 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown location. RP would like to speak with a deputy about his vehicle tag being stolen. Austin Blackfox responded.
9:32 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of US-64B. RP called and advised a male and female are in the roadway with their pit bulls.The male has a firearm in his hand. RP advised the female was running down the road and the male was trying to get them to stop, but the RP told his wife to continue driving and not stop. Jeff Neighbors responded.

1:43 a.m. – Prowler – in the vicinity of Schley St. RP can hear someone outside. Vian PD responded.
3:45 a.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 1026 Rd. RP stated he and his girlfriend had a disagreement and she took her stuff outside and shut and locked the door behind her. She then started banging on the door and yelling. Each time he tries to open the door she screams for help. She is banging on the door now. Jeff Neighbors responded.
12:07 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown location. RP advises receiving scam calls and would like to make a report. Daniel Whitus responded.
2:21 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown location. RP advises she went through a divorce where her car was awarded to her through court. RP advises her mother-inlaw was the co-signer and will not release the car to her. Would like to have a deputy take a report and help her get the car. Galen Irvin responded.
5:18 p.m. – In the vicinity of US-64. RP advises a school bus is broken down in a parking lot. Students are outside the bus and she would like to make sure that they are being helped and that someone is on the way. Dispatch noted the incident.
5:32 p.m. – Vandalism – In the vicinity of 1115 Rd. RP advises his neighbor’s son keeps driving his dirt bike through his yard. He has asked him not to, but they never listen. He has a no trespassing sign up and has taken video. Cody Parkerson responded.
8:42 p.m. – Suspicious Person – Near Sequoyah Little Farms. RP advises a male subject wearing a purple shirt and blue jeans is walking along the road going south. Cody Parkerson responded.
9:04 p.m. -Trespassing – In the vicinity of 4626 Rd. RP advises a subject has previously been trespassed from the property but is back. Would like to speak to a deputy about rights. Cody Parkerson responded.
9:26 p.m. – Prowler – In the vicinity of 4614 Rd. RP advises she sees an orange flashlight out by her boat and would like a deputy to respond. Cody Parkerson responded.
9:39 p.m. – In the vicinity of 4704 Rd. RP advises her sister came over last night to use her phone and took the phone. RP’s phone is her lifeline and she needs to file a report to get it back. Cody Parkerson responded.
11:18 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 1112 Rd. RP stated her neighbors have been home and possibly drinking all day, and just left at a high rate of speed, possibly hitting a culvert. Cody Parkerson responded.
08/19/2023
8:18 a.m. -Threats – In the vicinity of 1050 Rd. RP advised he is supposed to meet an ex-employee at 10 a.m. to get his tools but the male is aggressive. RP would like to know if a deputy can help. Galen Irvin responded.
10:12 a.m. – Noise Complaint – In the vicinity of Pump Station Rd. RP advised her neighbors are playing music too loud, all day and all night, and she would like to see if anything can be done. Justin Deuley responded.
1:50 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 1090 Rd. RP advises an older male is wearing a hat and throwing rocks at vehicles. Possibly yelling at people as they pass. Daniel Whitus responded.
10:29 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of Steve Owens Rd. RP states there is a female banging on their door and windows. Cody Parkerson responded.
10:31 p.m. – Prowler – In the vicinity of Seminole Ave. RP stated there is a white dump truck at the old store and someone with a flashlight was inside of it. Cody Parkerson responded.
08/20/2023
9:26 a.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of Sanders Ave. RP states a man is locked in the back room threatening to burn the house down. No further info was given. Vian PD responded.
11:41 a.m. – Information – Unknown location. RP states they are getting messages from someone he used to work with who is asking if RP has ever shot anyone, stating that they believed RP had. RP has turned in all information to the HR department but would like to see what else can be done. Galen Irvin responded.
1:20 p.m. – Vandalism – In the vicinity of 4754 Rd. RP advises their neighbor’s cattle is tearing up his property and has also torn up his garden. Galen Irvin responded.
3:36 p.m. – Disturbance – Unknown location. RP advises that around noon she had an argument with her boyfriend who was acting aggressive by ripping his own clothing up. She would like to make a report. Daniel Whitus responded.
5:23 p.m. – Fraud – Pier 7. RP advises he got gas, card was declined.The store let him leave to get money. Upon checking his bank account, it shows that money was taken from his account and he has not yet returned to the store. Justin Deuley responded.
7:46 p.m. – Argument – Unknown location. RP advises she and her husband have had an argument and he left with the kids. She wanted to know if he can take off with the kids whenever he wants. Allen Ramey responded.
8:15 p.m. – Complaint – In the vicinity of 1080 Rd. RP advised he and his fiancee had an argument. She may be leaving the residence and called a friend to pick her up. RP does not want this friend on his property and would like to have a deputy stop them from coming on his property. Allen Ramey responded.
