Teddy bears donated to Gore Police Department
Children from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Eufaula, Gore, Henryetta, McAlester, Muskogee, Poteau, Sallisaw and Talihina areas stuffed teddy bears as a service project for the Gore Police Department on July 29, and gave them to officers Billy Ellis and Townsil Lane Jr. on Sunday, August 13, after church. “The children were excited knowing that some kid that needed them would receive them,” Barbara Hunt, with the church, said. “….and a little child shall lead them” (Isaiah 11:6).
