The Gans Grizzlies will hope home cooking will help them get their first win of 2023 on the gridiron as they welcome the Weleetka Outlaws to town for a 7 p.m. kickoff tonight at Grizzly Field.
The Grizzlies (0-1) almost pulled off the comeback a week ago, losing 30-28 to the homesteading Oaks Warriors on zero week last Friday night. The Grizzlies were down 24-12 at the half, but they outscored the Warriors 16-6 in the second half, with both touchdowns coming on the feet of Caiden Kennedy as he scored on TD runs of 30 and 20 yards.
The Outlaws also are 0-1 as they lost their zero week game 64-40 to Tulsa Regent Prep last Friday night in Weleetka.
The Grizzlies will look to avenge last year’s road loss to the Outlaws, who won the 2022 match-up with both teams 56-0.
