Lady Vikings win own meet championship
POTEAU — The Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings won their own meet Saturday morning with 15 points. It just so happened the Lady Vikings were the only complete full ladies team competing.
POTEAU — The Carl Albert State College Lady Vikings won their own meet Saturday morning with 15 points. It just so happened the Lady Vikings were the only complete full ladies team competing.
All five CASC runners placed in the top 10. Call Connally was runner-up (23:11), Jacie Moffatt was third (23:53), Lin Lee was fifth (25:33), Destiny Lawson was seventh (27:18) and Mackenzie Lingenfelter was ninth (29:49).
Northwest Arkansas Community College’s Maria Hurtago won the meet as she covered the 5K course in a time of 22:59.
In the boys’ 8k race, CASC had four runners compete. Brayden Stoval was seventh (33:17), Brady Billingsley was eighth (33:21), Brady Allen was 10th (34:55) and Caleb Berger was 11th (35:48).
Northwest Arkansas Community College won the men’s title with 15 points as its top runner, Oliver Lopez, won the individual title with a championship- winning time of 29:50.
