TULSA — Both Oral Roberts University basketball teams announced their non-Summit League basketball portions of their upcoming 2023-24 schedules.

For the men, the Golden Eagles open the season in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex at Texas-Arlington (Nov. 6). ORU will play its first home contest of the season against Mid-America Christian for homecoming (Nov. 10) inside the Mabee Center. The team will then hit the road to Springfield, Mo., to face Missouri State (Nov. 13) and then on to College Station, Texas, for a match-up at Texas A&M (Nov. 17).

ORU will then play the next three of four at the Mabee Center. A visit from Texas Southern (Nov. 21) will begin the stretch before a trip to Kansas State (Nov. 28). Last season, the Wildcats advanced all the way to the Elite Eight. The University of Tulsa will make the trip to 81st and Lewis (Dec. 2) for another addition of the annual Mayor’s Cup game. ORU will then welcome Ozark Christian to the Mabee Center (Dec. 9).

The Golden Eagles will then face back-to-back Big 12 Conference opponents on the road beginning at Texas Tech (Dec. 12) and at Oklahoma State (Dec. 17) before coming home to face John Brown (Dec. 19). ORU will close out the non-conference slate with the Big Sky Challenge at Montana State (Jan. 4) followed by a home game against Weber State (Jan. 6).

For the women, the 2023-24 non-conference slate features six home contests and four matchups against Power 5 opponents.

The Golden Eagles will open regular season play on Nov. 6 at Texas Christian University before returning to the Mabee Center for their home opener against Friends on Nov. 9.

Following the home opener, ORU hits the road for an in-state battle against Oklahoma, a 2023 NCAA Tournament team, on Nov. 12.

The Golden Eagles then return to the Mabee Center for back-to-back contests, starting with Mid-America Christian University on Nov. 14. ORU’s two-game homestand concludes with the 46th edition of the Mayor’s Cup game against Tulsa on Nov. 18.

Prior to Thanksgiving, ORU will travel to Edinburg, Texas, for a matchup against Texas-Rio Grande Valley on Nov. 22. Following the break, the Golden Eagles remain on the road as they battle Texas, a 2023 NCAA Tournament team, on Nov. 29 in Austin, Texas.

ORU opens the month of December with back-to-back home contests against Oklahoma Wesleyan (Dec. 11) and the University of Oklahoma of Science and Arts (Dec. 14). Before the start of Summit League play, the Golden Eagles travel to face Kansas State (Dec. 18) and Wichita State (Dec. 20).
