During the week of Sept. 5 to 10, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 15 animal calls, 94 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports.

Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

09/05/2023

9:19 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown location. RP would like to speak with a deputy about her dog that she reported missing a few months ago. She made a report and advised the deputy told her if she found the dog, she had to call us before she could go out and get it. She has found the dog and it is at someone’s house in Nicut and they posted a picture of a dog. CJ McGee responded.

10:32 a.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 1028 Rd. RP reports they would like a deputy to come speak to him regarding a person who has allegedly made illicit sexual contact with his daughter in the past. RP reports that the person has been illegally entering their property and has a history of loitering on the property in obscure places, making the family feel uncomfortable. The family would like to have him trespassed. CJ McGee responded.

11:01 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown location. RP reports that his mother has moved and has a male trying to get his mother to sign property over to him. Brian Stone responded.

11:17 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Kerrington Village. RP advises his mother is being scammed by a male that has been stealing her property, and is still trying to get her to sign certain items to him. Brian Stone responded.

11:19 a.m. – Property Dispute – Hwy 101. RP advises that they have a vacant property in Oklahoma, but live in Florida. RP advises that she knows her neighbors have been clearing her land, cutting trees, and there are three or four cars there. She wants to know her rights. CJ McGee responded.

1:47 p.m. – Other – Dollar General. RP advises the doors are locked and the lights are on inside the store, but no one is coming to let customers in. Dispatch made contact with the manager who said the doors were malfunctioning but have since been fixed.

2:35 p.m. – Stolen Property – Old Hwy 64. RP advises her friend has rental property next to her residence. RP states there have been issues with people breaking in and stealing things. RP says that they felt someone may have broken into the house, so they called the property owner. RP states they see metal pieces in the door lock and feel someone probably tried to break in. RP thinks it might be the property owner’s ex-tenant. Dispatch advised the RP to have the property owner call back when she has time.

4:28 p.m. – Trespassing – Unknown location. RP advises her neighbors were fighting a few days ago and now there are people taking items from the property. CJ McGee responded.

8:12 p.m. – Noise Complaint – In the vicinity of Beverly Drive. RP advises that their neighbors have been playing music loudly every night and they have since turned it down, but RP would like to speak to an officer. Vian PD responded.

10:07 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown location. RP advises they need to speak to a specific officer about an incident that happened earlier. Dispatch took information.

10:14 a.m. – Fraud – In the vicinity of 1036 Rd. RP advises she believes her aunt used RP’s food stamps at Walmart and 10-Box without her permission. Shelton Fair responded and took a report.

11:13 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown location. RP would like information regarding rights. RP is attempting to evict a tenant that has not been at the residence for three weeks, and has been hiding from the deputies who have been trying to serve eviction. RP states the tenant did not show up to court because he has not been served. RP advises that the court could do nothing until the tenant is served first. Daniel Whitus responded.

3:06 p.m. – Altercation – In the vicinity of 4696 Rd. RP advises that her neighbors have thrown glass onto her property in the past, and today, drove up next to her on the road and acted in a manner that made her feel like they might possibly assault her physically. Galen Irvin responded.

5:39 p.m. – Trespassing – Subway. RP reports that they have a semitruck turning around in their driveway and would like them removed. Vian PD responded.

7:24 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 4580 Rd. RP says there is a guy messing around her residence. RP states she did not see him and their sister saw him. Sister said she didn’t see him but someone else saw him. They believe that he came from the interstate and no one had a description of the person or any identifying information. Charles Webber responded.

09/07/2023

5:03 a.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of Owens Rd. RP advises there is a person trying to get into the residence. RP states the subject is not supposed to be there but lives next door instead. Charles Webber responded.

10:40 a.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 4630 Rd. RP advises there is a person who has been trespassed from their property, but each time RP leaves, the subject immediately returns. Daniel Whitus took a report via phone.

11:18 a.m. – Stolen Property – At Vian PD. RP states that people broke into his building and changed his locks, and now all of his equipment is locked inside. Vian PD waited for a person to show up at PD to make a statement, but the person never showed up.

2:25 p.m. – Other – SCSO. RP advised that both he and a suspect have EPOs against each other but have been living together, trying to work things out. RP says he was assaulted by suspects on Sunday and Tuesday. Shelton Fair took a report.

4:22 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of Schley Dr. RP advises there is a man coming to her house saying he doesn’t have sex with his wife anymore. RP feels uncomfortable and would like to have an officer stop him from coming to her house. Vian PD responded.

4:40 p.m. – Fraud – In the vicinity of 4704 Rd. RP advises her husband’s phone has been hacked and the suspect has stolen money from their accounts. Daniel Whitus responded.

5:27 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 4758 Rd. RP advises she wants info about someone running her off the road and shooting a weapon at her on Tuesday night. She feels her ex might be the suspect. Jeff Neighbors responded.

5:43 p.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of Echo Rd. RP reports they are trying to make contact with a suspect about messing with RP’s neighbor. Vian PD responded.

8:36 p.m. – Information – Unknown location. RP would like a Vian officer to go with her to return a food stamp card. Vian PD responded.

09/08/2023

4:04 a.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of Carlile Dr. RP called and advised they heard gunshots that sounded to be right behind her residence. Gore PD responded.

1:11 p.m. – Property Dispute – In the vicinity of 4640 Rd. RP advises her neighbor has put up a fence blocking the way into their home. CJ McGee responded.

8:27 p.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 1030 Rd. RP called and requested a deputy because subjects were on his property and refusing to leave. He later called back and advised that his mother and her current husband were there and would not leave. Michelle Rigsby responded.

09/09/2023

10:45 a.m. – Fire Call – In the vicinity of Boyd Flatts. Reports of a structure fire, with reports of possible trespassing. CJ McGee responded.

11:58 a.m. – Information – In the vicinity of Sequoyah St. RP requests an officer to come to their property and check if certain items are okay to burn. CJ Mc Gee responded.

12:15 p.m. – Disturbance – Brushy Football Field. RP reports a male is assaulting people at the park. CJ McGee responded.

12:27 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 1000 Rd. RP states they sold a truck to someone and she has not made a payment in 105 days. He would like to know how to file a report as a stolen vehicle. Michelle Rigsby responded.

1:02 p.m. – Complaint – In the vicinity of Beverly St. RP advises a resident is driving too fast in a gray truck and revving engine. RP would like someone to come out and talk to the suspect. RP refused to give name or further details, dispatch logged the information.

3:24 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 4511 Rd. RP would like to speak with a deputy about his neighbors shooting their guns last week and shooting his dog. He has previously made a report but would like SCSO to be aware that the suspects are shooting guns now. CJ McGee responded.

5:26 p.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of 4770 Rd. RP states her mother is receiving phone calls from DirecTV, and they will not stop calling. She would like to speak with a deputy. CJ McGee responded.

09/10/2023

12:11 a.m. – Extra Patrol – Dollar General. RP called to request extra patrol of the store as she left and forgot to lock the door or set the alarm when closing. Vian PD responded.

7:57 a.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 4711 Rd. RP advised the neighbors are shooting in the back of their woods. CJ McGee responded.

2:01 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle In the vicinity of 4770 Rd. RP advised a silver car parked on Paw Paw right before the bridge. People keep parking in this area and coming onto his property. CJ McGee responded.

4:05 p.m. – Information – Unknown location. RP would like to find out if a Level 3 Sex Offender can be around young children. RP could not give the address where the suspect might live, where he is registered or if the suspect is on probation. CJ McGee responded.
