McALESTER — The 2023 fastpitch softball season came to an end Wednesday for the Central Lady Tigers as they lost both games played in the Class 2A Regional Tournament.

The Lady Tigers lost 9-1 to Hartshorne and 3-1 to Colcord.

The Lady Tigers, whose Tuesday home finale against Hulbert was canceled, finish the season at 8-24.

In the loss to Hartshorne, the Lady Miners scored twice in the first inning and three runs in the second inning for a 5-0 lead.

The lone run for the Lady Tigers scored in the top of the fourth inning on Brianna Taylor’s RBI triple, scoring Allie Harris, to cut the deficit to 5-1.

However, Hartshorne put the game in run-rule status with a single run in the fourth inning and a threerun fifth inning.

In defeat, Avery Warner was 2-for-3, Taylor hit an RBI triple, Harris singled and scored the lone run and Ayrland Jiles singled.

Jiles took the loss, despite getting two strikeouts in 4.1 innings.

In the loss to Colcord, the Lady Hornets jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the opening inning.

The Lady Tigers scored their only run in the fifth inning as Jiles scored on a wild pitch to cut the deficit to 2-1.

However, Colcord scored a big insurance run in the sixth inning to prevail.

In defeat, Jiles was 2-for-3 with a double, Harris tripled and Rylee Rowland singled.

Jiles suffered the loss, despite recording 14Ks.
