During the week of Sept. 11-17, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 12 animal calls, 113 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

09/11/2023

7:50 a.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of 1060 Rd. RP reports that he saw someone walk around the front of his house after shooting three rounds off in the backyard. He believes that the person is a convicted felon. Galen Irvin responded.

10:12 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – In the vicinity of Hwy 64. RP reports a neighbor passing her residence said there was a gray truck in her driveway. Daniel Whitus responded.

2:32 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – North of Vian. RP reports there has been an SUV in the Harvestime Church parking lot for three weeks. Preacher would like to know if anyone can identify to whom it belongs prior to having the vehicle towed. Justin Deuley responded.

4:32 p.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 1100 Rd. RP reports there is a male subject that had recently shown up at the property acting strangely, and refusing to leave. Today RP came home and there are six lighters on the porch. She believes they have been left by the suspect, and that he is threatening to burn the house down. Colton Goff responded.

4:48 p.m. – Stolen Property – Love’s. RP advised that she works there and is needing to file a report on a theft that happened a few days ago. The subject is back at the store. Vian PD responded.

5:29 p.m. – Theft – In the vicinity of 4800 Rd. RP advises his ATV was stolen. Daniel Whitus responded.

6:27 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of Sequoyah St. RP advised a female has been driving down the street at a rate of 35 mph in a 25 mph with kids outside. RP yelled to the driver to slow down, and the driver began to yell back and flipped off the RP. RP would like to speak to an officer. Vian PD responded.

8:32 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of 4675 Rd. RP advised her juvenile daughter received an alert on her phone (at school) that there was an “airtag” near her. RP further reports that when she got home, daughter received the alert again. RP states that she has checked the car but does not know what an “airtag” looks like. Allen Ramey responded.

09/12/2023

12:01 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of Preston Ct. RP requests an officer to search her son’s room for cigarettes. Son has been caught smoking at school and was suspended. Dispatch took information and will have an officer call RP back.

3:44 p.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 4770 Rd. RP advised that a vehicle has been parked on her property for the past two days. RP called yesterday to have the vehicle removed, and it was, but has returned. RP states the occupant told him that she and her son are metal detecting in the area, but RP does not want them on his property. Daniel Whitus responded.

4:15 p.m .- Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 1020 Rd. RP advises there has been an ATV parked in front of an abandoned house all day. Justin Deuley responded.

5:16 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of Cherokee St. RP advises that neighbors are shooting and it is hitting the trees around their mother’s residence. RP states this has been an ongoing issue for the past two days. RP believes it is a neighbor who recently built a privacy fence. Justin Deuley responded.

9:49 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of 4660 Rd. RP advises there is a female in front of a residence holding a flashlight and a stick. RP further states there is also a man outside the home who looks “rough” and believes there may have been an altercation. Cody Parkerson responded.

09/13/2023

3:55 a.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of Thornton Rd. RP stated that she could hear yelling coming from a residence just south of a home construction site. Dispatch received another call from someone saying that he could hear people yelling near the feed store. Vian PD responded.

9:39 a.m. – Property Dispute – In the vicinity of 4578 Rd. RP advises her neighbor has trespassed onto RP’s property. RP is videoing the person and says that the suspect is threatening her husband. Suspect called back and stated that he was being threatened and was only just taking photos of the property line and fence. Herb Hutchinson responded.

10:26 a.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely Gardenwalk Apts. RP can hear someone shooting a gun close by. Vian PD responded.

4:55 p.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 4695 Rd. RP states neighbor has illegally entered their property, which was recently surveyed. CJ McGee responded.

6:16 p.m. – Disturbance – Family Dollar. RP is manager and has a male causing a disturbance. Vian PD responded.

7:42 p.m. – Fire – In the vicinity of 4439 Rd. RP states there is a grassfire that they feel might be intentionally set. Herb Hutchinson responded.

9:32 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 4469 Rd. RP reports there has been a mountain bike left on his property and would like to know what he should do. Jeff Neighbors responded.

09/14/2023

3:56 a.m. – Prowler – In the vicinity of Suzanne St. RP requests officers to check around her home as she sees someone with a light shining through her window. RP further advises it is a common occurrence. Vian PD responded.

10:04 a.m. – Stolen Vehicle – In the vicinity of Hwy. 82. RP states he is doing contract work for a local person, who is out of town at the moment. Today, when he got to the job site, he noticed that her vehicle (which had been parked at the site) was missing. RP says that the truck owner is not currently home but is on her way. Dispatch advised RP to have the truck owner call back later.

2:01 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 4757 Rd. RP advises that someone has cut a lot of trees down on her property. Justin Deuley responded.

4:14 p.m. – In the vicinity of 960 Rd. RP states that there is a vehicle sitting at an intersection, unoccupied. RP thinks the vehicle does not belong in the area. Cody Parkerson responded.

4:46 p.m .- Suspicious Person – Unknown location. RP called to report a person on his property. RP said the suspect drove a white truck onto his property. RP said that he overheard the vehicle occupant saying “call the cops, I will have them shoot me.” Roland PD responded.

4:50 p.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of Lee St. RP called and advised there was a subject taking photos of her license plate. Vian PD responded.

5:36 p.m. – Extra Patrol – In the vicinity of Lee St. RP requests extra patrol when her children are playing outside, due to speeding vehicles. Vian PD responded.

7:32 p.m. – Vandalism – Unknown location. RP called to speak with a deputy about her neighbors with whom she is having trouble. RP believes they might have keyed her vehicle. Jeff Neighbors responded.

9:18 p.m. – Big Daddy’s – RP called to have an officer check on a male suspect outside the restaurant acting crazy. Gore PD responded.

09/15/2023

1:46 a.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 4711 Rd. RP states they saw a male and female on bicycles smoking something that could have been drugs. RP said there has been theft in the area lately and wonders if it is related. Coty Biles responded.

7:27 a.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of 4355 Rd. RP advises someone has broken into his residence and has taken items. Some of the items are still outside. Justin Deuley responded.

10:09 a.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 1093 Rd. RP advises someone is threatening her and her husband, making verbal threats. Trevor Charlton responded.

10:47 a.m. – Speak with Deputy – Dollar General. RP has questions regarding a letter she received from her manager saying she was suspended because of harassment. Vian PD responded.

11:21 a.m. – Vandalism – In the vicinity of 4575 Rd. RP states that someone has cut down trees on her property and needs an officer. Steven Edwards responded.

2:07 p.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of 4597 Rd. RP states someone has broken into his shop. Daniel Whitus responded.

4:15 p.m. – Other – Unknown location. RP called to ask if an officer can supply a cadaver dog to help locate her missing horse. Vian PD responded.

4:29 p.m. – Other – Muldrow PD. RP was involved in an altercation at the park and would like to file charges against the other person, as well as the Muldrow PD. Galen Irvin responded.

5:38 p.m. – In the vicinity of 1100 Rd – RP has seen a fire in the area and upon arrival saw someone running near the place, possibly in the woods. Daniel Whitus responded.

7:41 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of Hwy. 64B. RP states someone has been shooting at his house from a silver car in the street. RP believes it might be related to an altercation his juvenile son had at school. Allen Ramey responded.

9:01 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 4710 Rd. RP advised that there is an abandoned house next to her house, and that each night a male parks at the house. She believes he might pose a danger and is concerned. Allen Ramey responded.

10:36 p.m. – Disturbance Big Daddy’s. RP advised hearing four gunshots, or possibly fireworks, in the parking lot. Charles Webber responded.

09/16/2023

9:33 a.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of Vaughn Rd. RP advised that her neighbors are taking some of her things. Vian PD responded.

2:37 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of Thompson St. RP advises that there is a grey truck driving fast down his street. Vian PD responded.

3:52 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of Hunter St. RP advised her ex-husband has some guns in his home and believes he is not allowed to have them. Vian PD responded.

5:22 p.m. – Disturbance Unknown location. RP says she can hear a male yelling at a female. RP can hear the male but cannot see the female. Vian PD responded.

11:58 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 4600 Rd. RP advised that a family member shoved her boyfriend into a wall. RP later called back to say that her niece was at the house with other underage children drinking. Cody Parkerson responded.

09/17/2023

2:29 a.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of 4600 Rd. RP states that her uncle is refusing to leave and is threatening her. Allen Ramey responded.

11:43 a.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 966 Rd. RP wants to make a report about her neighbors calling in welfare checks on her dogs. Justin Deuley responded.

12:44 p.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of Blackstone St. RP advised she is at the PD and would like to report a theft and possible squatters across the street from his home. Vian PD responded.

12:54 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of Hanson Rd. RP states a male is walking in the street with a backpack, but has no firearm. No other description given. Galen Irvin responded.

2:35 p.m. – Other – Methodist Church. Someone has taken all the bikes from the bike rack and lined them against the fence, nothing has been stolen. Vian PD responded.

5:33 p.m. – Complaint – In the vicinity of 953 Rd. RP advised she was sitting outside and her neighbors came over the property line and were talking. RP does not know what he said and wants a deputy to tell the neighbor he is not allowed to talk to her. RP gave an address to dispatch that did not show on map.

6:05 p.m. – Other – Unknown location. RP would like to speak with a deputy about his mother’s car that was stolen in Louisiana. Daniel Whitus responded.

7:24 p.m. – Noise Complaint – In the vicinity of Chestnut Circle. RP would like an officer to talk to neighbors to have them turn their music down.

8:26 p.m. – Prowler – In the vicinity of Hwy 59. RP advises he received a call about a prowler at a family member’s house. RP believes the suspect is on a motorcycle. Cody Parkerson responded.

9:20 p.m. – Complaint Outhouse Saloon. RP says there is a male knocking on the door. Business is locked and closed. Cody Parkerson responded.

10:02 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 1050 Rd. RP advised a male suspect is wearing all dark clothing and walking along the road. Cody Parkerson responded.

11:14 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – McQuick’s. Report of two vehicles parked in the parking lot. Vehicles might be occupied. Charles Webber.
