NORMAN — The Oklahoma State Cowgirls golf finished in sixth at the Schooner Fall Classic on Monday, capping off its three-day tournament at Belmar Golf Club.

The Cowgirls concluded play in sixth after weekend rounds of 288 and 275, closing the third round of action par to the course at 280. The defending NCAA Champions, Wake Forest, exited Norman victorious, shooting a 29-under 811.

OSU’s combined 54-hole score of 843 marks its lowest total since shooting a 7-under 833 at the tournament a season ago on the par-70, 6,182-yard layout.

Maddison Hinson-Tolchard has now finished top-10 in both tournaments this season, this time shooting 6-under to finish tied for seventh in the field. She shot weekend rounds of 68 and 64, closing round three at 2-over 72. Her record-setting weekend in Norman included her 15th career top-10 finish, a tie for the lowest 18-hole score in program history (64) and a counting score streak amassing to 65 consecutive rounds before ending on Monday.

Freshman Ellie Bushnell posted two 60s rounds in Norman, posting a 2-under 68 on Sunday for the best 18hole score in her young career. Bushnell led the Cowgirls in round three, carding a 1-under 69 to finish the tournament even — tying for 17th in the field.

Clemence Martin concluded the weekend tied for 22nd, sinking four birdies on Monday to finish 1-over 71 in round-three action. Martin brought in 11 birdies across her 54 holes in Norman.

Thitaporn Saithip and Angelica Pfefferkorn finished even on Monday, ending competition tied for 61st and tied for 67th, respectively.

Saithip improved round-by-round this week while Pfefferkorn shot a career-low 54-hole score of 223 in Norman, while also setting her career-low 18 score of 70 in round three.

Playing as individuals, freshmen Marta Silchenko and Sammie Miller both shot 1-over 71 on Monday. Silchenko finished 5-over in the tournament, good for a tie for 43rd, while Miller finished tied for 71st place.

The Cowgirls return to the course on Oct. 9 as they compete in the Illini Invitational at Medinah Country Club in Medinah, Ill.
