Muldrow runner, Lady Bulldogs win first-ever home meet; ’Dogs finish runners-up

Muldrow cross country runner Katelynn Moore and her Lady Bulldogs were the individual and team champions, respectively, at the first-ever Muldrow Invitational, which took place Thursday morning at the old Muldrow Golf Course.

Katelynn Moore ran the two-mile course in 13:41.37 to best the field of 42 runners.

As a team, the Lady Bulldogs won the team title with 16 points, with Checotah a distant second (54 points) and Heavener third (62).

Six Lady Bulldogs medaled by finishing in the top 15. After Katelynn Moore, Cailey Grinstead was fourth (14:59.71), Emma Fields was sixth (15:15.96), Genna Stephenson was seventh (15:31.51), Kennady Moore was ninth (15:34.01) and Maysi Fields was 14th (16:45.76). As for other Muldrow Lady Bulldogs, Noa Coleman was 24th (17:51.9), while Isabelle Rogers was 34th (20:14.07). Two Central Lady Tigers also medaled as Paris Campbell was third (14:55.95), while Ryleigh Pierce was 15th (16:53.26). Raleigh Ford was 21st (17:26.57) and Callie Huff was 27th (18:18.9).

In the boys 5k run, the host Bulldogs were second with 70 points, finishing behind team champion Heavener (19 points).

Two Bulldogs medaled as Jesse Kilinc was fourth (19:27.18) and Maliki Albertson was 14th (21:13.68). Gibson Price was 16th (21:27.48), Wyatt Prewett was 18th (21:34.65), Kendal Howell was 24th (22:50.51), Jaxson Austine was 27th (23:08.9), Kenoy Releford was 28th (21:11.04), Hayden McKinster was 35th (23:50.48), Andrew Prewett was 42nd (24:31.98), Hayden Bullock was 43rd (24:42.06), Zeshan Bukhari was 46th (25:10.92), Kashan Bukhari was 3rd (28:20.62), Seth Nance was 55th (31:10.31) and Parker Sevenstar was 56th (31:53.79).
