Lady Bulldogs blanked by Dewey in Class 4A Regional Tournament

MIAMI, Okla. — The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs were trying to stave off elimination Thursday afternoon at the Class 4A Regional Tournament.
The Lady Bulldogs lost 10-0 to the Dewey Lady Bulldoggers in their first game of the regional tournament on Wednesday.
The Lady Bulldogs (1115) were slated to play the Lady Bulldoggers once more Thursday afternoon and had to win three games to win the regional title to not only keep their season alive but advance to next week’s Class 4A Super Regional.
In Wednesday’s loss to Dewey, the Lady Bulldoggers (24-9) got a six-hitter from pitcher Reagan White, who struck out five batters in six innings.
Dewey scored twice in the first inning, once in the third inning, four runs in the fifth inning and three runs in the sixth inning to put the game into run-rule status.
In defeat, Amarie Duran was 2-for-3, while Kaydence Young doubled for Muldrow.
Jaydin Dean took the loss, despite getting two strikeouts in five innings. Young pitched the sixth inning and got a strikeout.
