After an impressive 52-year career in the banking industry, Jackie Shamblin, a beloved figure in the community of Roland, has officially retired.

Shamblin served the last 25 years of her career at Firstar Bank’s Roland branch location. Her remarkable journey, marked by unwavering dedication and commitment, has left an indelible mark on both the banking sector and the hearts of local residents.

She began her illustrious career in banking immediately after graduating from Roland High School in 1971. Over the decades, her expertise, integrity, and tireless work ethic have made her a trusted financial advisor to countless individuals.

Reflecting on her retirement, Jackie expressed deep gratitude for the relationships she has forged over the years.

“It has been an honor to work with my outstanding Firstar Bank team and serve my wonderful customers,” Shamblin said. “Spending the last 25 years of my career in my hometown has been an absolute joy. I will always cherish the memories and friendships made during my time at Firstar Bank.”

“Jackie Shamblin is a local treasure. I am grateful for her dedicated and loyal service to Firstar Bank and our customers,” Firstar Community Bank President Dave Richards said.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my banking career. I’ve been a teller, vault teller, loan secretary, and served as a loan officer. I’ve seen a lot of changes in the banking industry over the years but after more than five decades of service, I am ready to enjoy retirement,” Shamblin said.

Firstar Bank offers a full-line of banking services including consumer and commercial loans, financial planning and retirement accounts, and leadingedge deposit and treasury management services.

Firstar Bank is a locally managed community bank with locations in Eastern Oklahoma and Arkansas. Named one of the 21st Century’s Highest- Performing Community Banks, the organization holds $919 million in total assets and $767 million in total loans. In addition, the bank’s investment division holds over $310 million in assets under management.
