COLUMBIA, Mo. — An early penalty kick converted by Ava Tankersley was enough for No. 7 Arkansas to shut out Missouri by a score of 1-0 Thursday night. The Hogs (82-1 overall, 4-0-0 in Southeastern Conference play) extended their win streak to five matches and have now won their first four league matches for the third time in the last four seasons.
Freshman goalkeeper Phoebe Carver made her third start and has shut out each of Arkansas’ last three opponents.
The Razorbacks took two shots and two corners before a handball in the penalty box by Missouri defender Mia Yang set Arkansas up for its third penalty attempt of the season.
