During the week of Sept. 25 through Oct. 1, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 13 animal calls, 106 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

9:24 a.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of 4612 Rd. RP advises that she was walking to the mailbox the other day and someone was shooting towards her. Now she is drinking her coffee and she can hear the shots again, and she says the bullets are hitting her house. Daniel Whitus responded.

10:17 a.m. – Information – In the vicinity of 965 Rd. RP advised that he is a manager at an RV park and they are trying to evict someone. RP would like to know the process. Justin Deuley responded.

11:56 a.m. – Vandalism – In the vicinity of 4704 Rd. RP needs to make a report about her neighbors smashing the back window out of her car. She has this on video and says she has PO against the suspected neighbors. Daniel Whitus responded.

1:37 p.m. – Burglary – Dock at Strayhorn. RP advises that she was told to call the police and file a report about her dock being broken into. Nothing was taken, but RP lives out of town. Justin Deuley responded.

2:03 p.m. – Petit Larceny – In the vicinity of Darlington Ln. RP advises that someone took her property to the flea market and sold it. Shelton Fair responded and took a report.

7:02 p.m. – Drugs – In the vicinity of Bennett Dr. RP has collected her vehicle from her soon-to-be ex-husband and she would like an officer to check it for drugs, as exhusband has been known to use. Vian PD responded.

10:57 a.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of 4350 Rd. RP advises that her husband is in the process of moving, and today they went to the house from which they are moving, and the house has been trashed and refrigerator stolen. Justin Deuley responded.

11:56 a.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of Hwy 64. RP advises that someone drove through his yard, and was poking around in the yard and his shop. Justin Deuley responded.

12:38 p.m. – Speak with Deputy In the vicinity of Liberty Rd. RP would like to speak with a deputy regarding his daughter and sonin- law driving on 1056 Rd. and a male ran his car towards them. RP wants to know if they have any legal recourse. Galen Irvin responded.

12:50 p.m. – Argument – In the vicinity of 4580 Rd. RP is a mail carrier who had a car cut him off, forcing him to brake hard. Now the mail is all over the vehicle and he has to return to the USPS office to re-sort the mail. Daniel Whitus responded.

1:26 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 1080 Rd. RP’s father’s property is being trespassed on. Today, someone walked onto the property, then saw her father was home and left. Daniel Whitus responded for extra patrol of the area.

1:59 p.m. – Breaking and Entering Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall. RP advised that a male broke into the building yesterday and he needs to file a report. Allen Ramey responded and took a report.

3:30 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 4717 Rd. RP advises that her mother has been financially scammed by someone requesting money. RP and mother are scared and would like deputy assistance. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

3:33 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle Happy Corner. RP states there is a small grey SUV parked on the road, possibly for six days now, and RP thinks it is stolen. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

4:08 p.m. – Other – Bus Barn. RP’s son left his phone on Bus 17. He is required by an active PO to have the phone with him at all times. Vian PD responded.

4:10 p.m. – Harassment – Love’s. Two people are in the parking lot fighting over money. Vian PD responded.

5:38 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of Hwy 64. RP states an officer came to her house earlier (in regards to trespassing) and RP has just found video footage he has collected. Daniel Whitus responded.

5:52 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Motel 6. RP states that a deputy was at her residence earlier and refused to allow her to fill out a report. She would like to now fill it out. Cody Parkerson responded.

7:53 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of 1060 Rd. RP says her house was broken into five days ago and she made a report. She has just returned and noticed items missing, and unsure if it happened today when the house was previously broken into. Allen Ramey responded.

09/27/2023

3:47 p.m. – Other – Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall. RP advised there is a white truck being towed from the Hall parking lot. Dispatch logged the information.

3:53 p.m. – Harassment – McQuick’s. RP advised that her daughter and daughter’s co-worker had been harassed through texts. RP states the suspect showed up at daughter’s work today. Shane Petree responded.

4:50 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – Blue Mouse. RP is calling on behalf of his elderly mother. RP says that his mother sold a car about three months ago and today got a letter from the DMV stating the car has been impounded by Roland PD and that his mother needs to recover it. CJ McGee responded.

5:41 p.m. – Vandalism – In the vicinity of 4750 Rd. RP states that her son has a 4-wheeler and the key has been broken off in the ignition. RP believes someone has been trying to steal with the vehicle, and believes she knows who the person is, and that she may have had a history with this person stealing. Michelle Rigsby responded.

11:13 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – In the vicinity of 1090 Rd. RP states that there is a silver 4-door pickup abandoned in front of her residence. Before deputies arrived, RP called back to say it was actually her grandfather’s truck and she was mistaken. Dispatch logged the information.

09/28/2023

1:35 a.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of Rodgers Rd. RP states that he and his wife were asleep and they heard a noise, then saw a man standing by their vehicle in the driveway. The suspect then ran up to their front door and began to kick it. Vian PD responded.

3:27 a.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 4750 Rd. RP states there was a male walking in front of his residence. Jeff Neighbors responded but did not make contact with the suspect.

11:11 a.m. – Stolen Property – Dollar General. RP says that someone has stolen $30 from the store. CJ McGee responded.

12:00 p.m. – Fraud – In the vicinity of 1030 Rd. RP advised that someone has scammed her out of money because he agreed to complete a job for her, and did not return after she paid him. CJ McGee responded.

3:55 p.m. – Other – Unknown Location. RP called and asked for a deputy to return her call. RP states that someone is wanting to “start some problems” with her. CJ McGee responded.

4:43 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 1030 Rd. RP says that a female had just beat her up on her property. RP says that the suspect lives in an RV and was walking her dog down the road. The RP is driving down the road towards the suspect. Shane Petree responded.

5:35 p.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 4530 Rd. RP says his sister threatened his daughter. CJ McGee responded.

6:28 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of Clear Springs Ct. RP says that his work out equipment was stolen from his garage. Vian PD responded.

7:14 p.m. – Vandalism – In the vicinity of 1060 Rd. RP called and advised that his AC unit broke and discovered someone had shot it with a gun. RP says this is not the first time. Michelle Rigsby responded.

8:35 p.m. – Other – Unknown Location. RP called and wanted to file a report in regards to her daughter and the daughter’s partner. RP’s husband called in a short time later. Michelle Rigsby responded.

09/29/2023

12:04 a.m. – Prowler- Love’s. RP says there is a prowler near the dumpsters. Vian PD responded.

6:36 a.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of Clear Springs Ct. RP says his ex-girlfriend is in the residence yelling and screaming; possibly intoxicated. Dispatch also received calls from neighbors with the sounds of someone yelling in the background. Vian PD responded.

10:01 a.m. – Fraud – In the vicinity of House of Refuge Church. RP says that he came to clean the church building and there was a man asleep under the canopy. Trevor Charlton responded.

3:21 p.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of Kennedy St. RP said someone was in her backyard and left a TV there. Daniel Whitus responded.

4:23 p.m. – Hwy 64. RP states there is a caucasian man walking around the buildings and then laid down in front of the door. Daniel Whitus responded.

9:23 p.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 1056 Rd. RP would like to speak with a deputy about his son receiving texts from someone who is threatening physical assault and arson. Allen Ramey responded.

10:58 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of Bennett St. RP states that her ex will not return her keys to his truck. Vian PD responded.

09/30/2023

8:10 a.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 4469 Rd. RP advises that she spoke with a deputy yesterday about her dog possibly biting her neighbor. RP would now like to euthanize the dog and would like to know if that is OK. Justin Deuley responded.

9:00 a.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 4770 Rd. Baptist Health is attempting to contact family members of a patient who has been discharged, but only has one number and it is not working. Galen Irvin responded.

7:57 p.m. – Information – In the vicinity of Kennedy St. RP advises that someone is staying at her residence and is selling drugs. Vian PD responded.

9:02 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of Cherokee Rose. RP is the grandmother of a child who is refusing to leave with her and is yelling. Allen Ramey responded.

10/01/2023

1:47 a.m. – Fight in Progress – VFW. Three men are fighting in the canteen. Cody Parkerson responded.

2:39 a.m. – (Follow-Up to previous entry) – RP called as he was at the VFW when the fight broke out. He said he left the VFW with one of the involved parties. At that time the fight was still on-going and he asked the driver to let him out. RP did not know the subjects involved but said that he could hear screaming down the road. Before disconnecting the call, he heard vehicles driving away. RP did not leave information about himself as he was afraid of being arrested for involvement or public intoxication. Shane Petree responded.

12:42 p.m .- Other – Hwy. 100. RP found a pink purse on the side of the road and now has it in his possession. He would like to give it to a deputy. Justin Deuley responded.

10:05 p.m. – Prowler – In the vicinity of 1044 Rd. RP states that a prowler is “messing around” behind his home and he would like a deputy to investigate. Cody Parkerson responded.
