The Roland Rangers will try to end a four-game losing streak when they travel to meet the Prague Red Devils at 7 tonight in a District 2A-5 contest.
The Rangers (1-4 overall, 0-2 in district play) have not won since their zero week opener on Aug. 24, a 21-14 win over archrival Muldrow at Ranger Stadium.
Since then, the Rangers have lost four straight games. Roland lost its final two non-district games to Stilwell and Central, the latter when Central’s Aiden Sainer blocked Logan Lorenz’s attempted game-winning field goal on the last play of the game. Then, the Rangers lost their first two District 2A-5 games — 32-21 to Keys two weeks ago and 64-0 to Vian last Friday night at Ranger Stadium.
The Red Devils (5-0, 2-0) are undefeated. They won both of their district games, 35-0 over Henryetta and 56-0 over Keys, before winning all three non-district games — 29-12 over Luther, 28-14 over Meeker and 34-26 over North Rock Creek.
