Think on these things

It is every bit possible that we can learn something new every day. There is no excuse for anyone being bored. Dag Hammerskjold asked us, “Is life so wretched? Isn’t it rather your hands are too small, your vision too muddled? You are the one that must grow up.:’’ I must grow up. Age does not mean we have reached an age of knowing everything. It is simply an accumulation of years-years that are not magnetic to automatically draw wisdom to us, but a time to search and question.

I once had a friend whose curiosity sent him to read unusual things that interested me, as well. He told me that explorers had found a highway several inches thick across the Amazon jungle and buried deep in jungle rot and years of debris. I thought I would surely read about it but I never did. Other things carved on the sides of mountains in Peru are evident, but a highway? I still have to learn.
