Wolverines looking for 3rd straight District 2A-5 win tonight at Okemah

The Vian Wolverines will not only seek a three-game winning streak tonight, but running their District 2A-5 record to 3-0 with a road game against the Okemah Panthers at 7 tonight in Okemah.

The Wolverines (3-2 overall, 2-0 in district play) have won two straight games since entering District 2A-5 play — beating Warner 48-13 two weeks ago and routing Roland 64-0 last Friday night at Ranger Stadium.

The Panthers (1-4, 0-2) have lost both of their district games — 50-8 to Sequoyah-Tahlequah and 26-12 to Warner last Friday night. Okemah’s lone win so far this season was a 43-12 rout of Wewoka on Sept. 8, which was sandwiched with a pair of losses — 62-0 to Pawnee and 56-22 to Stroud.
