During the week of Oct. 2 – 9, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 33 animal calls, 111 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

10/2/2023

9:42 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle In the vicinity of 1054 Rd. RP advises there is a black Chevy Silverado driving slowly back and forth down the road. CJ McGee responded.

1:33 p.m. – Threats – Unknown Location. RP is needing to report that his son is receiving threats. CJ McGee responded.

4:12 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – Fin and Feather. RP wants to discuss a neighbor’s dog going into their yard that also looks sick. She has spoken with the owner but they refuse to do anything about it. RP wants to know what she can do about the dog. Brian Stone responded.

6:25 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 4580 Rd. RP advises that some people are in a house that RP knows to have been sold. Mark Choate responded.

8:08 p.m. – Information – Unknown Location. RP advises that he was assaulted a week ago by a female and he needs the reporting officer to give the report to the D.A. Mark Choate responded.

11:15 p.m. – Argument – In the vicinity of Sanders Ave. RP advised she picked up her boyfriend in OKC and now they have been arguing and she is concerned this might become physical. Vian PD responded.

10/3/2023

10:25 a.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 1080 Rd. RP needs to speak with a deputy regarding someone not letting her obtain her property from a residence she formerly lived in. CJ McGee responded.

12:08 p.m. – In the vicinity of 4755 Rd. RP advises that he has cameras around his property and they have alerted him that someone is on his porch. CJ McGee responded.

12:12 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of Main St. RP advises that his son’s girlfriend is planning on taking all his money and leaving him. Vian PD responded.

1:21 p.m. – Altercation – In the vicinity of Highway 101. RP was weedeating and a neighbor had stopped her to yell at her for trimming his grass. CJ McGee responded.

2:29 p.m. – Admin Walk In – RP states they were arrested over the weekend and when they bonded out someone had taken all their property from inside RP’s home.

3:25 p.m. – Suspicious Person Happy Corner. RP advised that a male is in the roadway, possibly needing help. CJ McGee responded.

3:28 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown Location. RP wants an officer to respond to a store regarding someone who took a fridge and dumped the food on the floor. Gans responded.

3:54 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – A to Z Building. RP advises that someone threatened him, and later returned, leaving a threatening note. Brian Stone responded.

5:18 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of E. Sequoyah. RP advises that someone stole his guitar and amp. Vian PD responded.

6:15 p.m. – Information – In the vicinity of E. Sanders. RP advised that she needs an officer to enter her home and make sure no one is inside, as she recently invited her abusive boyfriend into the house and is not sure if he is inside the house. Vian PD responded.

6:30 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of Old Highway 64. RP advises that a silver Nissan Altima was driving through a pasture. RP stopped the car and the driver appeared intoxicated. Mark Choate responded and made an arrest.

7:28 p.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of Vaughn St. RP advises that someone broke into her rental house and has moved her wood stove close to the door. Vian PD responded.

8:29 p.m.- Speak with Deputy – Unknown Location. RP advises that she has problems with someone being at her house. Jeff Neighbors responded.

8:33 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 1030 Rd. RP wants to speak with a good deputy, and requests one of two officers. RP states that her neighbors are shooting guns towards her home towards her tonight as she is unloading groceries from her car using a flashlight. Jeff Neighbors responded.

11:15 p.m. – Suspicious Person WW Grocery. RP advises that there is a male standing outside of the store, who is possibly connected to someone who is inside the store. Jeff Neighbors responded.

11:42 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – In the vicinity of 4630 Rd. RP advises that his grandmother called him, as he is at work, and reported a vehicle parked towards the end of his driveway. The grandmother has reported to the RP that when she turned on her porch light she heard someone whistle. Mark Choate responded.

10/4/2023

10:24 a.m. – Burglary – In the vicinity of 4498 Rd. RP states someone has stolen his lawnmower and various other tools. Shelton Fair responded.

10:59 a.m. – Vandalism – In the vicinity of 4750 Rd. RP works for a power company and they were working when they found that some of their ground wires had been cut. Galen Irvin responded.

1:53 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of Hunter St. RP is requesting officers to help with a report of stolen property. Vian PD responded and advised that this was a civil matter.

2:26 p.m. – Information – Unknown Location. RP flagged down a police officer to report that his hay was stolen. Prior to officers getting information, they were unable to relocate the man. Galen Irvin documented this information.

2:39 p.m. – Suspicious Person – Unknown Location. Reports of a man in a camo shirt, backpack and bandana. Galen Irvin responded.

4:11 p.m. – In the vicinity of E. Sequoyah. RP advises that she works as a realtor and just found a home she has for sale was broken into. Michelle Rigsby responded.

5:46 p.m. – Property Dispute – In the vicinity of W. Hunter. RP needs to speak with an officer about property that he purchased from someone in Vian on Friday. Vian PD responded.

10/5/2023

1:33 a.m. – Extra Patrol – In the vicinity of Chestnut Circle. RP advises that a man is coming to her residence. She is afraid of the man and would like extra patrol. Vian PD responded.

8:16 a.m. – Stolen Property – I-40 at MM 291. RP owns a home-made trailer that was parked on I-40 while he went to obtain parts for it. When he returned, the trailer was gone. Justin Deuley responded and took a report.

8:40 a.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 1058 Rd. RP called Shane Petree to report a vehicle with a subject sitting behind the wheel and would like to report he is still there. Justin Deuley responded.

9:35 a.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 4768 Rd. RP reports that someone took the SIM card from her phone and is threatening to kill RP and RP’s daughter. Daniel Whitus responded and took a report.

10:32 a.m. – Information – In the vicinity of 111620 Rd. RP advises that her ex-boyfriend is on her property and has stolen property from him. He is now refusing to leave. Justin Deuley responded.

11:00 a.m. – Vandalism – In the vicinity of US-59. RP advises that his barn was vandalized by a tenant who lives on the property. He recently had a suspect evicted. Daniel Whitus responded.

2:05 p.m. – Rail Fence BBQ – RP advises that her husband works for the business and he got fired, but his vehicle is still parked at the restaurant. The business owners have called a tow truck to remove the vehicle, and the truck driver is requesting the key. RP states that the vehicle does not belong to her husband, and is in her name only. Daniel Whitus responded.

5:00 p.m. – In the vicinity of 996 Rd. RP advises that there are two boys who live across the street and are throwing rocks and yelling at passing cars. Daniel Whitus responded.

5:06 p.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of Highway 100. RP called and reported her house was broken into. Charles Webber responded.

11:45 p.m. – Fight in Progress – El Siesta. RP stated there is a male and female fighting outside the motel, and does not believe weapons are involved. Vian PD responded.

10/6/2023

1:26 a.m. – Prowler – In the vicinity of Roger Rd. RP advises that his dogs are going crazy and his gate is open. He believes someone may be shining a flashlight into his wife’s car. Vian PD responded.

7:15 a.m. – Prowler – In the vicinity of 4768 Rd. RP advises that someone is at their residence and is not supposed to be there. Yesterday the suspect was threatening his sister. CJ McGee responded.

8:30 a.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 1050 Rd. RP advises that someone is on his property and he would like them removed. Shane Petree responded.

1:00 p.m. – Stolen Property – Pier 7. Grey dodge drove away without paying for fuel. Brian Stone responded and took a report.

5:10 p.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of 4770 Rd. RP states his door has been kicked in while he was away from his home. There is currently no one at the residence and he is missing a video game system and some other items. The TV is also broken. Justin Deuley responded.

5:23 p.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of 1056 Rd. RP owns a home that she is remodeling, but the past few weeks she has noticed that some materials have been stolen and she would like to make a report. Justin Deuley responded and dispatch put in a note for extra patrol.

5:33 p.m. – Harassing Phone Calls – Unknown Location. RP states that someone is harassing her. Suspect has warrants and is on probation. RP believes the person is high and won’t leave her alone. Mark Choate responded.

6:35 p.m. – Threats – Marval Resort. RP advises that her ex-sister in law has been calling her and threatening her physically. RP states that the subject works for CPS and is threatening to have RP’s children removed from her custody. Mark Choate responded.

7:01 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of 4770 Rd. RP called and said that her mother is having an issue where she is going through a divorce. The mother has a PO against her husband, and he has returned to the home a few times. Justin Deuley responded.

7:21 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of 4760 Rd. RP says that he has taken down part of his fence while moving some equipment, and someone has tried to take the fencing that he removed (that was laying on the side of the property). Justin Deuley responded.

8:14 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 4640 Rd. RP says a neighbor pulled their truck onto his porch because the neighbor thought someone else lived at the house. The neighbor stated that the RP’s cows were in his yard, and is now causing issues and threatening the RP. Justin Deuley responded.

9:08 p.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 1005 Rd. RP reports that someone is threatening and harassing her. RP believes the suspect might have some mental health issues, or be in crisis. Mark Choate responded.

11:01 p.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of 4729 Rd. RP states someone broke into her home and rifled through her property. Jeff Neighbors responded.

10/7/2023

1:21 a.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 1005 Rd. RP advises he wants to turn himself in, and he wants his girlfriend trespassed from the property before he does. Mark Choate responded.

1:57 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – In the vicinity of 1053 Rd. RP advised that she is at work in Fort Smith, and just saw (on camera) a small car speed into her driveway at home. Jeff Neighbors responded.

2:28 a.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of 1005 Rd. RP advised his ex-girlfriend and others broke into his back window and took things. RP could not give a description of the suspects or the property, but states he saw them and chased them into the woods behind his home. Mark Choate responded.

10:00 a.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 4768 Rd. RP is the grandmother of a juvenile who was taken into custody yesterday. RP says she was given no information about the incident and needs info. CJ McGee responded.

10:16 a.m .- Information – In the vicinity of 1080 Rd. RP was told by a friend that SCSO was at his residence to serve him a warrant. He is now home and would like deputies to know. CJ McGee responded.

10:36 a.m. – Information – Unknown Location. RP advises that a deputy took a report about stolen property last night, and that he has obtained further information that might help in the investigation. Justin Deuley responded.

11:18 a.m. – Breaking and Entering In the vicinity of 965 Rd. RP’s maintenance shop was robbed last night and several tools have been taken. Brian Stone responded.

11:22 a.m. -Threats – In the vicinity of 1044 Rd. RP advises that she has several issues with her neighbors and their dogs.The dogs have been causing havoc with RP’s livestock, and the owners are uncooperative. CJ McGee responded.

11:55 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown Location. RP would like to obtain information about yard sale laws in the city. Vian PD responded.

3:07 p.m. -Trespassing – In the vicinity of 965 Rd. RP advised that someone was on his property yelling and cussing at his mother.The suspect then went to RP’s aunt’s home and was threatening her also. CJ McGee responded.

3:36 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of 1095 Rd. RP says that people are illegally dumping trash on his deceased neighbor’s vacant property. CJ McGee responded.

14:06 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of Lee St. RP advised that he was walking home from Dollar General and found a debit card. He would like to turn it in. Vian PD responded.

10/8/2023

12:13 a.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 4469 Rd. RP advises that someone pulled into her residence in a white truck and was threatening RP about his wife. RP does not want to make a report, but would like the information documented. Mark Choate responded.

11:34 a.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 4612 Rd. RP stated someone keeps coming to her home at 3 a.m. the past three nights, and does not want to call while the person is present for fear that they might overhear. RP reports that the suspect is not currently on the property but RP would like a deputy to trespass them. Brian Stone responded.

11:58 a.m. – Information – Marval’s. RP wanted to cancel her report on an incident that took place last Friday (regarding threats). Mark Choate responded.

1:23 p.m. – Complaint – In the vicinity of Highway 101. RP advises that his friend and the friend’s girlfriend were dropped off at the residence three days ago and are now refusing to leave. CJ McGee responded.

5:13 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of Redland Rd. RP reports a male suspect going up to several homes and trying the doors. RP believes the suspect might have come from I-40.

5:19 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – In the vicinity of Chestnut St. RP states there is an ice cream truck on their street but it has Missouri tags on it. RP thinks it is suspicious and would like an officer to investigate. Vian PD responded.

8:08 p.m. – Suspicious Person Dollar General. RP advises that a male subject is sitting behind the store and acting odd. He refuses to leave. Jeff Neighbors responded.

9:20 p.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of Vaughn St. RP advised that someone had opened his back door (the back door was screwed shut). Vian PD responded.

10/9/2023

11:21 a.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of 4593 Rd. RP advises that his girlfriend has an in-home daycare and someone in the area is shooting guns. RP believes the shots may be in the direction of the daycare. Justin Deuley responded.

11:52 a.m. – Stolen Property – Unknown Location. RP is requesting SCSO to go with her to get her belongings back from a contractor who is refusing to give them back to her. Dispatch advised it was civil.

12:12 p.m. – Property Dispute – In the vicinity of 4760 Rd. RP advised his neighbors own property across the street from his property and they have cars on their property that the RP would like removed. Galen Irvin responded.

1:15 p.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of 4728 Rd. RP advises that a friend passed away in June, and now the neighbors are at the deceased’s house stealing things from the property. RP stated that they were on the riding lawn mower at the time of the 911 call. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

5:54 p.m. – Information – In the vicinity of Schley St. RP refused to give dispatch her name and number but was wanting an officer to investigate a fire. Vian PD responded.

9:36 p.m. – Suspicious Person Love’s RV Park. RP would like an officer to drive out to the area because she has seen a shadow pass by her RV in the middle of the night. Vian PD responded.

10:35 p.m. – Suspicious Person In the vicinity of Highway 101. RP advised she heard talking when she went outside (after her motion activated light came on). RP states that she saw three teenagers running away, one exclaiming, “get in the car quick, before she calls the cops!” Cody Parkerson responded.
