Former Muldrow QB passes for 349 yards, produces 4 TDs in Emporia State loss to Central Missouri

WARRENSBURG, Mo. — Despite four touchdowns by either passing or rushing by former Muldrow Bulldogs quarterback Braden Gleason, the 24thranked Emporia State Hornets lost 77-27 to the host 16th-ranked Central Missouri Mules on Saturday afternoon.

Gleason was 35-of-60 for 349 yards and two touchdowns in the first quarter, a 30-yard TD pass to Jaylen Varner and a 29-yard TD pass to Tyler Kahmann, while he rushed for 36 yards and two more TDs as he scored on a 12-yard run in the first quarter and a five-yard run in the second quarter.

The Hornets trailed 28-20 after a period, 56-27 at halftime and 77-27 after three quarters. Gleason did not play in the final period.

Fellow Muldrow Bulldog Trenden Collins caught two passes for eight yards in the contest.
