By DAVID SEELEY SPORTS EDITOR

HENRYETTA — The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs cross country team as well as Sallisaw runner Jodai Sama Salinas, Gore’s Hallie Kinion and Central’s Alyvia Warner all qualified for the state meet.

HENRYETTA — The Muldrow Lady Bulldogs cross country team as well as Sallisaw runner Jodai Sama Salinas, Gore’s Hallie Kinion and Central’s Alyvia Warner all qualified for the state meet.

At Saturday morning’s Class 4A Regional Meet, the Lady Bulldogs finished fifth out of seven teams with 193 points. The top seven teams automatically qualified all their runners for state.

Senior Katelynn Moore was the fastest Lady Bulldog as she ran the two-mile race in 13:37.85 to finish 17th.

Senior Cailey Grinstead was 36th (14:20.29), sophomore Genna Stephenson was 43rd (14:50.06), senior Kennedy Moore was 46th (14:54.04), freshman Emma Fields was 63rd (15:29.17), junior Noa Coleman was 82nd (16:33.15) and junior Maysi Fields was 85th (16:42.17).

Sallisaw sophomore Molly Carver missed by about six seconds of making state. She ran the two-mile course in 14:08.26. Wagoner’s Pebble Wisdom grabbed the seventh and final individual state berth as she finished 27th with a time of 14:02.59.

As a team, the Lady Diamonds were 15th with 375 points. After Carver, Nicci Davis was 83rd (16:33.82), Haley Birdtail was 91st (17:08.32), Jazmyne Wright was 100th (17:32.81), Michelle Laudan was 102nd (17:46.31), Zurri Knight was 103rd (17:56.4) and Kali Crowe was 107th (18:30.53).

Individually, Salinas was 25th in the 5k race to grab the fifth of seven individual state berths in the Class 4A boys regional meet. The Sallisaw freshman’s time was 18:48.51 to place 25th overall.

As a team, the Black Diamonds were 15th with 359 points. After Salinas, Jonas Reid was 80th (21:19.57), Dawson Glover was 83rd (21:24.31), Cash Mayfield was 94th (22:07.85), Jorge Thomason was 98th (22:21.51) and Tyler File was 99th (22:26.6).

The Muldrow Bulldogs were not as fortunate as the Lady Bulldogs as they did not finish in the top seven as a team to qualify everyone, nor did any one finish in the top seven who were not on a state-qualifying team roster.

The ’Dogs finished in 12th place in the Class 4A Boys Regional Meet with 310 points.

The highest finisher for the Muldrow boys was freshman Jesse Kilinc, who finished the 5K race in 46th place with a time of 20:04.23, about 36 seconds behind the runner who grabbed the last individual berth to state — Jay’s Orion Tsosie, who finished 32nd (19:28.1).

Senior Gibson Price was 61st (20.38.21), sophomore Wyatt Prewett was 68th (21:02.78), junior Kendal Howell was 73rd (21:11.14), senior Maliki Albertson was 76th (21:17.54), junior Jaxson Anstine was 100th (22:32.49) and junior Hayden Bullock was 106th (23:24.35).

In Class 2A, Kinion was the regional runner-up as she ran the two-mile course in 13:15.84 to nab the second of seven individual state berths, while Warner was 11th (14:10.06) to grab the No. 6 individual berth.

Warner’s teammate, freshman Paris Campbell, missed by about 24 seconds of making state, finishing in 20th place (14:35.48). Okemah’s Madison Basinger grabbed the seventh and final individual spot as she finished 13th (14:11.78).

Webbers Falls’ junior Cheyanne Herrier missed by about a minute of the mark needed to make state, finishing 33rd (15:10.12).

The Lady Tigers had two other runners participate as junior Ryleigh Pierce was 54th (15:55.67) and freshman Rileigh Ford was 88th (17:01.64).

The Class 4A State Meet will begin at 9 a.m. Saturday, followed by the Class 2A State Meet at 11 a.m. at Edmond S a n t a Fe High School.
