10/17/2023 – 10/22/2023

During the week of Oct. 17 – 22, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 18 animal calls, 100 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

10/17/2023

12:54 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of Loop Dr. RP wants her adult grandson to leave her house. He is verbally abusive towards her. Brian Stone responded.

3:20 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of 4760 Rd. RP would like to speak with a deputy concerning two people who are hunting illegally on his property. CJ McGee responded.

6:18 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 1126 Rd. Suspicious activity next door. A male and female suspect appear to be actively doing drugs. Michelle Rigsby responded.

10:28 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 4750 Rd. RP called and advised that her ex-husband was outside her house for the second time today. The first time he is alleged to have broken a window in RP’s home. Mark Choate responded.

10/18/2023

9:03 a.m. – Domestic – In the vicinity of Hwy. 100. RP advises that her ex-boyfriend showed up at her residence and began to hit her, threatening to hit the windows of RP’s Jeep. Justin Deuley responded.

9:40 a.m. – Trespassing – RP advised that yesterday they made a report that someone was physically abusing them. Yesterday, the RP obtained a PO and the suspect is at the residence. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

11:30 a.m. – Other – Sheriff’s Office. A person came into the office to file a complaint against a deputy. Information was taken.

12:40 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of Hwy. 59. RP called to advise that renters at their rental property stole appliances from the unit. Hunter Hutchinson took a report.

3:42 p.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 965 Rd. RP advises that someone is trespassing on RP’s property and that the suspect has set up deer hunting equipment on the property. Daniel Whitus responded.

4:19 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of Thornton St. RP advises that a person is lying in the ditch, and rifling through their trash cans. RP advised that the person has since walked down the street. Justin Deuley responded.

4:35 p.m. – Fraud – Muldrow PD. Muldrow PD called to let SCSO know that someone needs to file a report in regards to financial fraud. Hunter Hutchinson responded and took a report.

7:05 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of Hwy. 100. RP advised that her daughter is getting harassing text messages. Charles Webber responded.

7:23 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – Harkies Island. RP advised that he came upon an RV that he believes has been “stripped out.” Cody Parkerson responded.

7:24 p.m. – Stolen Property – Unknown Location. RP believes that his work van was stolen. He believes the employee has gone “AWOL.” Vian PD responded.

9:32 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of Tenkiller. RP advises that a bald and skinny male with a “strong Russian accent” is walking around her tent. Charles Webber responded.

9:36 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of McConnell St. RP is trying to obtain property from a residence. Vian PD responded.

10:08 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 1050 Rd. RP reports having heard a loud alarm sound and then she saw a light coming from a vacant residence. RP went to the house with a baseball bat and the lights went off. Allen Ramey responded.

10/19/2023

3:57 a.m. – Trespassing – Pier 7. RP advises that there is a male sleeping under an orange blanket in the parking lot. Charles Webber responded.

8:36 a.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of Hwy. 59 Loop. RP advises that he owns a mini storage property and that someone has broken into a unit. Daniel Whitus responded.

9:15 a.m. – Argument – In the vicinity of Hwy. 82. RP advises he can hear neighbors yelling. Justin Deuley responded.

12:00 p.m. – Trespassing – Marble City Fire Department. The Marble City Fire Department (FD) would like to have the SCSO tell construction workers that they cannot park in the FD parking lot, as it is an emergency lane. Daniel Whitus responded.

3:04 p.m. – Altercation – Big Boy Boat Storage. RP advises that two vehicles have stopped near his house, and the two drivers have gotten out of vehicles and are now fighting. Justin Deuley responded and made an arrest.

4:35 p.m. – Property Dispute – In the vicinity of 1053 Rd. RP states that her ex-husband is taking down the fence that separates the RP’s property from the ex-husband’s property. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

9:47 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 4640 Rd. RP states that while out on a walk with her daughter, a neighbor shot a gun at them. Allen Ramey responded and made an arrest.

9:50 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 4545 Rd. RP states that a vehicle entered his property and proceeded to destroy his landscaping. Upon firing a warning shot, the suspects left. Charles Webber responded.

10/20/2023

12:00 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – In the vicinity of 953 Rd. RP advises that a man is stumbling around with a flashlight. Charles Webber responded.

12:23 a.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of 1046 Rd. RP advises that someone entered his property and began shooting at him while he was on the porch. The RP retrieved his own firearm and began returning fire at the suspect. The suspect then left. Allen Ramey responded.

11:57 a.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 4704 Rd. RP advised that he is a maintenance man at a property and would like to report that someone has been making verbal threats against him, and he would like a deputy to investigate. CJ McGee responded and took a report.

1:15 p.m. – Fraud – Love’s. RP is general manager and would like to report that they have received counterfeit money. Vian PD responded.

1:31 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – Unknown Location. RP would like to speak to a deputy about obtaining food and other resources from human services. CJ McGee responded.

5:06 p.m. – Suspicious Person – Gore Landing. RP reports a male lying next to the road with a bicycle. Gore PD responded.

6:21 p.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of 1013 Rd. RP would like to report continual harassment from a neighbor. Michelle Rigsby responded.

8:29 p.m. – Information – Old Hwy. 64. RP would like to talk to a deputy about the circumstances of his aunt’s death, which he feels are suspicious. Mark Choate responded.

10:11 p.m. – Prowler – In the vicinity of 4634 Rd. RP reports that someone is in the woods behind her house and she can see them using a flashlight. Mark Choate responded.

10/21/2023

5:10 a.m. – Noise Complaint – In the vicinity of 1026 Rd. RP stated he heard multiple gunshots from the south side of his residence. Mark Choate responded.

10:19 a.m. – Complaint – Unknown Location. RP advises that the people across the street from the Vian Donut Shop have stacked wood in the ditch and RP is worried that if it rains, water will back up into her yard. Vian PD responded.

10:48 a.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of Hwy. 101. RP had someone staying at their house and asked them to leave earlier in the week. The suspect has stolen his medication and RP would like to make a report. CJ McGee responded.

2:26 p.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 4580 Rd. Female RP called to report that someone had threatened her son. When dispatch asked for an address, RP hung up and would not answer subsequent calls. Cody Parkerson responded.

3:18 p.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 982 Rd. RP called to ask about trespassing someone from his property. CJ McGee responded.

3:20 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of 4812 Rd. RP advised that there are three people shooting towards her residence. She believes the suspects are trying to intimidate her because today is the day of her uncle’s funeral. Cody Parkerson responded.

4:48 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of 4770 Rd. RP reports that someone walked into his home and took his two dogs. RP states that the dogs were underweight, but that a vet recently checked them and it was a metabolic issue with the dogs. CJ McGee responded.

9:06 p.m. – Protection Order – In the vicinity of Hwy. 100. RP would like to obtain a PO against her husband, as he continues to contact their shared kids by phone. Gore PD responded.

11:21 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of Hwy. 100. RP advised that her husband and his girlfriend were in the woods behind her home and were trying to lure their shared children out of the house. Gore PD responded.

10/22/2023

12:42 a.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 4612 Rd. RP can hear gunshots close to her house. Mark Choate responded.

10:12 a.m. – Suspicious Person – Dollar General. RP advises that there is a male in a green SUV cursing at employees and sitting in front of the store. Vian PD responded.

10:29 a.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of 1100 Rd. RP states that his chainsaw was stolen from his porch while he was away. CJ McGee responded.

12:31 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of 1040 Rd. RP states that he can hear suspects shooting guns at neighborhood dogs. Brian Stone responded.

1:23 p.m. – Trespassing – VFW. RP called and said that someone who has been banned from the VFW has shown up at the property. Brian Stone responded.

2:47 p.m. – Fire – In the vicinity of Badger Lee Rd. RP said their neighbors are burning brush, and would like to have it investigated. Dispatch noted that Sallisaw PD received a phone call from the RP earlier and found the fire to be legal, and okay.

4:56 p.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 1122 Rd. RP states that yesterday they received text messages from an ex-partner, and today saw the ex in their driveway, and more threats have been received. Michelle Rigsby responded.

8:14 p.m. – Harassment – In the vicinity of 990 Rd. RP reports that while helping to return the neighbor’s trash cans, two girls began verbally assaulting the RP. Mark Choate responded.

9:31 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – Unknown Location. RP would like to discuss an issue she is having with her ex-husband. Mark Choate responded.

10:12 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of 1023 Rd. RP stated that two males came to his house and were acting strange. Michelle Rigsby responded.

10:58 p.m. – Fire – Unknown Location. RP states that their neighbors are burning brush and the smell is coming into their house. Vian PD responded.
