During the week of Oct. 9 – 16, 2023, Sequoyah County law enforcement tended to 27 animal calls, 140 traffic stops, along with numerous medical and domestic calls according to police reports. Following is a list of incidents included from last week’s reports:

10/09/2023

4:24 p.m. – Information – Gates Excavation. Reports that official flights are on inside the building. Mark Choate responded.

11:21 a.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of 4593 Rd. RP advises that his girlfriend has an in-home daycare and someone in the area is shooting guns. RP believes the shots may be in the direction of the daycare. Justin Deuley responded.

11:52 a.m. – Stolen Property – Unknown Location. RP is requesting the Sheriff’s Office to go with her to get her belongings back from a contractor, who is refusing to give them back to her. Dispatch advised it was civil.

12:12 p.m. – Property Dispute In the vicinity of 4760 Rd. RP advised his neighbors own property across the street from his property and they have cars on their property that the RP would like removed. Galen Irvin responded.

1:15 p.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of 4728 Rd. RP advises that a friend passed away in June, and now the neighbors are at the decedent’s house stealing things from the property. RP stated that they were on the riding lawn mower at the time of the 911 call. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

5:54 p.m. – Information – In the vicinity of Schley St. RP refused to give dispatch her name and number but was wanting an officer to investigate a fire. Vian PD responded.

9:36 p.m. – Suspicious Person Love’s RV Park. RP would like an officer to drive out to the area because she has seen a shadow pass by her RV in the middle of the night. Vian PD responded.

10:35 p.m. – Suspicious Person In the vicinity of Highway 101.

RP advised she heard talking when she went outside (after her motion activated light came on). RP states that she saw three teenagers running away, one exclaiming, “get in the car quick, before she calls the cops!” Cody Parkerson responded.

10/10/2023

1:26 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – In the vicinity of 4770 Rd. RP’s boyfriend left for work and reports that there is a car sitting near the driveway. Allen Ramey responded.

11:13 a.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of 990 Rd. RP advises that when she got home there were people on her property removing things from her house. RP forced the burglars to remove the stolen items from their vehicle and they have pictures and video of the suspects, although they have left. Justin Deuley responded.

12:32 p.m. – Speak with Deputy – In the vicinity of Main St. RP advised that she is renting a trailer and her lease is expired, and the landlord is trying to give her five days to leave before he begins eviction. Gore PD responded.

12:40 p.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown Location. RP reports that a female with whom he has a joint checking account has withdrawn all of the money, and he would like to know his rights.

12:55 p.m. – Fight in Progress Dollar Tree. RP reports someone ran out of the store and there is a fight in progress inside. Vian PD responded.

3:35 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of 4750 Rd. RP advises that his girlfriend will not return his clothing and money, that she has stolen from his wallet. Daniel Whitus responded.

4:51 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of Pump Station Rd. Reports of a female in a minivan sitting in front of RP’s driveway smoking marijuana. RP does not know who the female is. Vian PD responded.

6:49 p.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 4446 Rd. RP advised that his neighbor pulled out a rifle and walked towards RP’s wife making vicious threats, including bodily harm and death threats. Gore PD responded.

6:54 p.m. – Speak with Deputy In the vicinity of 4580 Rd. RP’s daughter is getting text messages from someone in Tulsa which contains very threatening content. Cody Parkerson responded.

9:57 p.m. – Prowler – In the vicinity of 4510 Chestnut Circle. RP would like a Vian officer to come to her house as she believes there is someone in her backyard. Vian PD responded.

10/11/2023

10:16 a.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of 1000 Rd. RP advised she can hear gunshots near her home, possibly in her pasture, and is worried about her livestock. Shane Petree responded.

10:29 a.m. – Speak with Deputy Unknown Location. RP has questions about threats being made towards her in regards to DHS taking her children. CJ McGee responded.

11:21 a.m. – Petit Larceny – In the vicinity of Thornton St. RP would like to speak to an officer regarding someone passing a counterfeit bill to her. RP says the incident happened two days ago. Vian PD responded.

1:31 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of 1057 Rd. RP advised that one week ago they set their dirt bike out for rent-a-center to pick up and now the bike is gone. CJ McGee responded.

2:06 p.m. – Burglary – In the vicinity of 4540 Rd. RP advised that her house was broken into and guns, jewelry, and boxes were stolen. Shane Petree responded.

7:36 p.m. – Shooting Firearms Unsafely – In the vicinity of 4750 Rd. RP advised that his friend shot himself in the leg. RP left to get help, but upon returning he found that his friend only had a powder burn. Mark Choate responded and reported everything

was fine.

8:35 p.m. – Suspicious Vehicle In the vicinity of 1060 Rd. RP advised that the house across the street from her is for sale, and there is an unknown vehicle near the side of the house. Jeff Neighbors responded.

10/12/2023

6:15 a.m. – Suspicious Person Vian School. RP is a custodian who reports that someone is walking around the campus. Vian PD responded.

1:44 p.m. – Information – In the vicinity of Hwy. 64. RP advised that someone came onto his property and told her that their (lost) phone was pinging in their backyard. RP walked outside and discovered a vehicle in the yard, and people yelling at the RP. RP’s family member recognized the suspects, who then left the property. Brian Stone responded.

2:17 p.m. – Hwy. 101 – RP advised

that he is growing cannabis and someone has entered his yard and cut down some plants. CJ McGee responded.

2:57 p.m. – Suspicious Person – In the vicinity of Chestnut Circle. RP advises that there is a white Lincoln parked near her house. Vian PD responded.

10/13/2023

3:24 a.m. – Disturbance – Pinkhook Corner. RP reports someone flagged them down with flashlights, but left. Mark Choate responded.

5:13 a.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 4612 Rd. RP stated that her dogs were barking and woke her up. RP says she can hear a gunshot close by. Mark Choate responded.

8:03 a.m. – Suspicious Vehicle – In the vicinity of 995 Rd. PR reports a white van parking in the roadway and a person in the cargo area who appears to be waiting for someone to get inside. Daniel Whitus responded.

10:11 a.m. – Property Dispute Unknown Location. RP advised that she and someone else purchased a car together, and that the person took the car without permission. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

10:35 a.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 4731 Rd. RP advised that there were some people that got evicted from her neighbor’s residence and now they have taken a spot on his land and refuse to leave. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

1:21 p.m. – Argument – In the vicinity of KCS Rd. RP advised that he and another person have begun to argue, and the suspect will not allow RP back into the shared hotel room. Galen Irvin responded.

2:13 p.m. – Information – In the vicinity of 1013 Loop. RP advised that his son works out of town and comes home on the weekends. RP says the son’s girlfriend likes to fight with him and cause drama. The son is now gone, but the girlfriend is moving things out of the house without permission. Daniel Whitus responded.

2:53 p.m.

– Trash Dumping – In the vicinity of 990 Rd. RP would like to speak with an officer about neighbors illegally dumping things on her property. Daniel Whitus responded.

4:31 p.m.

– Fraud – In the vicinity of Dover Rd. RP called and needed to report identity theft. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

5:51 p.m.

– Breaking and Entering In the vicinity of 997 Rd. RP called because they thought someone might be breaking into the vacant home next door. RP reported there is a small truck out front of the house, and he is not aware that anyone should be there. Charles Webber responded.

6:25 p.m.

– Disturbance – Sheriff’s Office. RP would like to meet with a deputy regarding an incident that occurred yesterday. Cody Parkerson responded.

8:23 p.m.

– Trespassing – In the vicinity of 4700 Rd. RP called and advised that the mother of his adopted son was at his property and refusing to leave. Allen Ramey

responded.

5:06 a.m. – Disturbance – Love’s.

Report of a man sleeping inside the store. Justin Deuley responded.

8:11 a.m. – Breaking and Entering – In the vicinity of 1057 Rd. RP advised that his nephew had broken into RP’s sister’s residence last night. The homeowner is in Tulsa, and several items (including guns) have been stolen, and are now listed for sale on FB Marketplace. Justin Deuley responded.

9:07 a.m. – Information – In the vicinity of 965 Lp. RP would like for a deputy to come to his house, as he bought some acid from eBay about five or six years ago. He couldn’t find the lake so he dumped it in the storm drain. Justin Deuley responded.

10:23 a.m. – Trespassing – In the vicinity of 965 Rd. RP advised that someone has been trespassing on their property and has placed deer hunting equipment there. RP would like a deputy to see the equipment and advise. Daniel Whitus responded.

1:22 p.m. – Harassing Phone Calls

– Unknown Location. RP has a protection order against someone who keeps sending text messages to RP. RP has blocked the number but the messages continue to come through, possibly from a different number. The last message showed up on Sept. 30. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

2:43 p.m. – Argument – In the vicinity of 1040 Rd. RP advised that she has gotten into an argument with her mother, who is now threatening to call DHS and have her children removed from the house. RP also alleges that a family member has been having inappropriate contact with another family member. Daniel Whitus responded.

5:23 p.m. – Threats – In the vicinity of 4590 Rd. RP advised that his son is brandishing a gun and drunk. Family members feel threatened and are requesting an officer. Hunter Hutchinson responded.

7:23 p.m. – Extra Patrol – In the vicinity of 4690 Rd. RP requested more patrol in his neighborhood as vehicles continue to drive in a reckless manner. RP states that his property is located near an auction and the vehicles are likely coming from that. Allen Ramey responded.

10:47 p.m. – Stolen Property – In the vicinity of Hwy. 59. RP advises that there are four vehicles nearby, and someone is trying to steal them. Charley Webber responded.

11:17 a.m. – Complaint – Garden Walk. RP is a tenant and there is a vehicle driving erratically down the access street near the office. Vian PD responded.

3:23 p.m. – Stolen Property – Dollar General. Manager at the store reports a man leaving with items without paying for them after saying “someone is outside having a seizure.” Hunter Hutchinson responded.

4:05 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of 4611 Rd. RP called and advised her neighbors had placed large rocks in the road, blocking part of RP’s driveway. Daniel Whitus responded.

10:04 p.m. – Suspicious Person – Unknown Location. Sallisaw PD called requesting assistance with a call due to no officers being available. The call was in regards to a suspicious person outside of the RP’s house. Allen Ramey responded.

10:07 p.m. – Information – Unknown Location. RP called and requested help, in regards to narcotics. Charles Webber responded.

10/16/2023

12:14 a.m. – Laundromat – RP stated that he saw three suspects running from the house across the street from the hotel laundromat. Charles Webber responded.

1:39 p.m. – Fraud – In the vicinity of 4494 Rd. RP needs to make a report regarding someone on Cash App, impersonating someone else and taking money. Mark Choate responded.

6:25 p.m. – Disturbance – In the vicinity of Hunter Rd. RP called to speak with a deputy in regards to a suspect refusing to leave the establishment.

8:25 p.m. – Building Check – In the vicinity of 1057 Rd. RP advised his security alarm is going off at his residence, but no one is home. Mark Choate responded.

8:58 p.m. – Other – In the vicinity of Hunter Rd. RP advised that her water is not working, and she believes there might be a water leak. Vian PD responded.

11:16 p.m. – Unknown Location RP called and wanted to speak with an officer about obtaining a burn permit. RP believes they might live in the city but could
