TULSA — In a battle of Bulldogs to end the 2023 season, Muldrow came up short in losing its season finale and final District 3A-3 game 63-13 to Lincoln Christian.

Muldrow’s Bulldogs (1-9 overall, 0-6 in district play), who finish the season with an eight-game losing streak, got its first touchdown in the opening quarter on a 79-yard touchdown pass from Reid Sutton to Teaguen Collins. Antonio Fujarte’s extra point missed, keeping Muldrow down 14-6.

Lincoln Christian (9-0, 5-0) took a 28-6 lead into the second quarter, in which its ’Dogs outscored Muldrow 28-0 to stretch their advantage to 56-6 at halftime.

Muldrow’s final TD came on Ashton Foster’s 1-yard run, followed by Fujarte’s PAT.

In defeat, Sutton passed for 164 yards and a touchdown, while Collins had 110 receiving yards and a TD. Defensively, Jermauree Palmer led Muldrow with five tackles, a quarterback sack and two pass break-ups.

“I spent the weekend reflecting on the season,” Muldrow coach Logan Coatney said. “My initial thoughts are we’ve got to get bigger, faster and stronger. We’ve got to execute (offensively and defensively). That’s what we’ll key on during this offseason.”
