Former Muldrow Bulldogs lead Emporia State to homecoming win
EMPORIA, Kan. — Two former Muldrow Bulldogs, quarterback Braden Gleason and wide receiver Trenden Collins, helped lead the Emporia State Hornets to a 39-17 win over the Nebraska-Kearney Lopers to make it a happy homecoming Saturday at Welch Stadium.

Gleason was 27- of- 42 for 250 yards and five touchdown passes, including a 34- yard TD pass to Collins in the second quarter to get the Hornets ( 6- 3 overall, 5- 3 in MIAA Conference play) to within four points at 10- 6 with 7: 57 left before halftime. Two more Gleason TD passes before halftime got Emporia State the lead at halftime by the score of 18- 10.
Gleason’s day helped earn him the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season.
Collins caught two passes for 38 yards and a TD.
