Former Muldrow football duo leads Emporia State to season-finale win
HAYS, Kan — Two former Muldrow Bulldogs, quarterback Braden Gleason and wide receiver Trenden Collins helped lead their college team, the Emporia State Hornets’ to a 45-42 season-finale victory over Fort Hays State on Saturday afternoon.

The two former hooked up for one of the six touchdown passes thrown by Gleason as he hit Collins on a 14-yard TD pass with 9:41 left before halftime to put the Hornets (8-3 overall, 7-3 in MIAA Conference play) ahead 24-13.
Gleason was 30-of-40 for 369 yards and six touchdown passes, while rushing for 22 yards on six carries. Gleason was named the MIAA Offensive Player of the Week for the fourth time this season on Monday.
Collins hauled in two passes for 32 yards and a TD.
The Hornets should find out their bowl fate later this weekend. The date for the NCAA approved bowl is Dec. 2.
