LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Righteous heroes

By Lynn

Dear Editor,

D.K. Swon, Maynard Blackard and Hubert Dale Folsom were some of the teachers at Muldrow that I admired greatly. Because of this admiration of their character traits, I was automatically challenged to develop those traits within my character. That is the way the human mind works: We want to be like others, especially our heroes.

Back in the 1950’s we would talk about Will Rogers, Charles Lindberg, Babe Ruth, and Mickey Mantle. When school teachers, college professors and the news media promote the atheist, communist and perverts to be admired and imitated is when we realize we have a sick, sick world and it’s getting sicker day by day.

Get the federal Government out of our schools and let each state control their learning centers.

Jesus said Satan is a liar and that he came to steal, kill and destroy. One of the most successful lies that has brought about much destruction is the lie, “SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE,” that is nowhere in the Constitution.

Satan twisted the first amendment that keeps Congress from passing laws against the free exercise of Christian churches. In other words, we are free to promote righteousness throughout the country; we can preach Jesus anywhere and everywhere; we can pray in the name of Jesus Christ anywhere, anytime.

Satan has used his followers to get God and prayer out of schools after he got families to quit praying in the home, and he substituted devotions with TV programs. Satan used his followers to yell SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE so loud and long that many believe it to be true.

Satan doesn’t want opposition, so he uses lies to hush the cowardly preacher’s voice. If your preacher will not preach against the corruption within our local, state and Federal Government, you need to switch churches. Any church that does not take an interest in righteousness being practiced in government needs to close its doors or become a Godly church.

Robbery, rape, kidnapping and murder is at an all time high and our prisons are not big enough to house them all because we listened to the lying Devil. Most of the professing Christians do not possess Christ because of Hebrews 11-6. They must believe that God is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him; We do things for the rewards: unbelief in the rewards is a result of unbelief in God.

People will not attend church services, will not study the bible, and pray at home because they do not believe in God. They may say they are believers, but ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS.

CURTIS MITCHELL, NEW HOPE BAPTIST
