The Vian Wolverines will look to make it 2-for-2 in road playoff victories when they travel to meet the Adair Warriors in the Class 2A state quarterfinals at 7 tonight in Adair.

The Wolverines (7-4) snapped a two-game losing streak to end the regular season with a 33-14 road win in a rematch against the Eufaula Ironheads in the Class 2A opening-round contest last Friday night at Eufaula’s Paul Bell Stadium.

The Warriors (8-3) won their playoff opener 44-30 over Sperry last Friday night.

The Vian-Adair winner will meet the Washington-Meeker winner in next weekend’s Class A state semifinals at a neutral site. If Vian and Washington both win, it will mark the second regular-season rematch in the postseason for the Wolverines, who opened the season with a 55-13 road loss to the Warriors on Aug. 25 in Washington, Okla.
