Golden Hurricane falls to Arkansas-Little Rock

The Golden Hurricane drops to 4-1 on the season and falls in its road opener. UALR picks up its second win of the season to improve to 2-4 overall.
Five Tulsa players finished in double figures, with Tyshawn Archie leading the way with 17 points. The freshman was 5-for-8 from the floor and connected on six free throws.
Cobe Williams added 16 points, Carlous Williams scored 11 and Matt Reed and Isaiah Barnes each had 10. Carlous Williams and Reed had a team-high eight rebounds in the contest.
Jamir Chaplin had a monster game for the Trojans, scoring 27 to lead all scorers and pulling down 15 rebounds for a double-double. He was 11-for-14 from the field and a perfect 5-for-5 from the foul line.
UALR shot 47 percent as a team, while Tulsa hit on 43 percent of its shots. Neither team did particularly well from deep, as Tulsa shot 4-for-23 (17 percent) and UALR was 6-for-21 (29 percent).
The Golden Hurricane will be idle until their annual Mayor’s Cup contest against Oral Roberts University at 7 p.m. Saturday at the ORU Mabee Center.
